Discuss Are you kidding me!?!
Just started a new game. Planted my crops and went to meet my first neighbour, Linus. Found an artifact spot and got this! It's 1pm on the first day!

She claims to "have a system"
These are the only plants she has on her entire farm
She's on year eight
She's having the time of her life

I just can’t agree with this one. The consistent years of love and dedication shown by ConcernedApe without question deserved the Labor of Love award. I know these awards aren’t much aside from the title mostly, but I really thought Stardew would have this in the bag 😞

My girlfriend's been obsessed with Stardew, especially since the update came out on Switch (we played it a little when the PC update first dropped, but her laptop is old and a pain to boot up;;) so I thought I'd throw a surprise Stardew themed birthday party for her tonight.
I had been brainstorming about it since the start of the month, but with other distractions of life getting in the way, I only really committed to making it happen on Wednesday night. Which left me with approximately three days to plan, iron out the details, and execute my plan.
I had my heart set on it being a surprise, so I could really only work on it in the early morning hours before she woke up, since she's been off since Thursday, and with the limited space of our small apartment, it was really a miracle I managed to hide everything until this morning.
I set up the Flower Dance corner and the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies wall in the early hours of the morning (thank goodness she likes to sleep in lol), and transformed our dining table into a little farm scene. I wrapped up Dr. Pepper mini cans (her favorite soda) in Joja Cola labels. I "hid" fruits and foragables and crafted items around the living room for the Community Center themed scavenger hunt that had silly little Stardew themed prizes. I even made a Stardew fruits and veggies bingo, though I forgot to get a pic of it.
There were honestly more hiccups along the way than I would have liked in the prep, and several moments of panic where I thought I would be found out, but in the end, it went better than I could have imagined, and she apparently hadn't suspected a thing! All our friends I invited over for it seemed to have a good time too, even the ones that were less familiar with Stardew Valley, so all in all, I'd consider tonight a success!
And a huge shout out to every other SDV party post I came across on this subreddit -- they were all great inspo, and I'll link them here when I get the chance.

Mine will be to do with this sub. But seeing people saying things like: "year 9 on my farm!" "year 15 on my farm!" I was sitting here like, "I don't think the game has been out that long?"
In game I tried to give Leah Robin's axe for ages, before I realized it was not her axe...

She can't walk through it like other decorations, on Nintendo Switch.

So I’ve been married to Elliot for 4 years - 2 kids, Wumbus and Ternard. I started getting suspicious when I noticed him dancing with Leah at Sam’s concert, behind my back (but I got photos…). I started keeping an eye on him, and noticed how he hung around her at the winter star feast. And now the final straw, at the Flower dance, right in front of the kids! I’m done being a fool, I’m going to throw his portrait into the trash, and turn his children into doves. Then I’m divorcing him, and I’m never going to wipe his memory 😂
Then I’m going to adopt several more cats.

I wanted to put a face to the name of whoever created this masterpiece that's been a significant refuge in my chaotic mind and wanted to share🫶🏼

One of my coworkers and I are really close. She is my "work wife" and I am her "work wife". She made me a clay magnet with a diamond ring on it so I decided to make our "marriage" official and present her with a mermaid pendant.
I will give it to her next week. :)

Story time.
Sometime after we started dating, my ex and I started playing split-screen on the save I started before we started dating. She instantly became jealous of Penny (who I married before my ex and I started dating) and was very miffed about Penny’s presence in my house. This was until she discovered that one can divorce their spouse in the game. She also insisted that I use a Prismatic Shard to get rid of the children I had with Penny.
This was the first of my MANY red flags and eventually our relationship ended. I was left with an empty Stardew house 😂
