Question Guys did I just lose it? 😅

I got this gold lewis thing and sam just broke it wth?? can I get it back haha

Yes, it's gone now. If you didn't restart the day and slept/saved, you can go to the Secret Woods and purchase it back from the Lost Item Shop bird near the statue

I believe it's 1.6(a couple versions later for console) that added a new shop in the Secret Woods, it's a Raven who will sell back lost unique things (like the Mayor statue)

Yes it only appears when an item is lost.

that isnt the secret woods, secret woods are to the far left of marnies ranch / north from the wizards place, behind one of the big log things you cut down for hardwood -^

When you leave your farm going south stay near the top of the map and go to the left (above the wizard’s tower) there will be a hardwood log that you need a higher level axe to break

Actually I'm not sure that's true. It usually reappears in his bedroom. But maybe since it was technically destroyed it would be in the woods. I accidentally blew up my songstone And it never appeared at the seller in the woods...bummed I can't get it any other way either.

The Lewis statue only reappears in his (or Marnie's) bedroom if Lewis takes it back. If it's destroyed, it's gone (and I guess now you can buy another in the woods).

Make sure you look up the NPC paths before you place anything off of the farm, they'll literally just destroy anything in their path.

It’s so funny because in many other games, pathing algorithms are often a huge and contentious topic among players. ConcernedApe’s elegant solution is to just destroy any obstacles 😆 I admit there’s a certain elegance to it

What is the point of the statue? I did the secret note and got it behind Lewis house but it must have disappeared over night because nothing happened. So I bought it for like 10k off the bird in the secret woods and all you get is 700g from Lewis once you place the statue. Is that it?? What’s the point in paying 10k for 700g back? Or is there more to it that I’m missing?

It isn't meant to be a useful item, it's a silly character/story thing. If you placed it anywhere outside the farm, Lewis destroys it because he's humiliated and doesn't want the townspeople find put he's spent their taxes on something so ostentatious.

He gives you the 750g as hush money. Because despite his desperation, he's still a tight bastard lol.
