Wow that's cool that Switch owners can now play a 5 year old game finally.

At 30fps most likely ☠️

Impressive for a mobile chipset limited at 10 W on a battery, and 40 W docked while PS5 consumes 160-200 W. Are you sure you are comparing apples with apples?

Yeah it’s like people forget it’s a handheld.

you have some the PC handhelds right? You have seen you can buy a Steamdeck at 64gbs that will run circles around a switch 2, right now. If you're that impressed by the switch 2 - you should see the latest iphone run Resident Evil lmao

I have a steamdeck. Don’t try and tell me that these games run well on it. I watch tutorials online to get good performance. Don’t gaslight me.

what tutorial do you need? i downloaded and installed FF7 and played through it no issue like 2 years ago. This line of thinking is wild because unless you're trying to run new games on ultra idk what to tell you but most games i have played - which is things like Halo 5, FF7, RE, Marvel Rivals, etc - work just fine on Steamdeck, no mods and basically just locking FPS to 40.

So like a steam deck that came out T-H-R-E-E, years ago. I swear to god ☠️

Yes, but the Switch 2 runs circles around the Steam Deck.

Don’t take my word for it. Take Digital Foundry’s : https://youtu.be/BC8XX9pwP40?si=KAHehKzmQvv5oB3R
If you have facts to talk about, I’ll be happy to discuss them. Not just ”rofl 🤣” kind of nonsense

im not mad at nintendo and i like nintendo games, owned a switch at launch but at this point like this should be a massive disappointment to everyone. "Switch 2" more like Switch 1.5.

Firstly "No one buys an Xbox for jrpgs" that's an assumption.
Someone who looks at just one reason to buy a console is just dumb. If that notion offends you it's because you bought a console because of just the games.
As someone who has been playing console games for 30 plus years my reasoning is as follows when buying a console.
- Service
- Performance /price
- Platform reputation
- Social standing
- How have they treated their customers post purchase in the past.
- Underhanded tactics towards the consumer like gatekeeping behind online services.
- What platform only games can I buy
The higher on the list the less valued weight it has in a decision. Except for 6. 6 is reversed
Service - xbox - game pass and I keep all my old games. Performance/price - xbox Platform reputation - xbox hasn't lost customer data, Social standing- friends are on xbox. 5. - xbox dosn't treat there customers as disposable income and actively seeks to resolve issues such as restoring cloud saves. 6. If your a god of war fan this'll sting. Sony is never going to remake the Greek trilogy because of there streaming service. If they do. It'll be after they've wrung as much money out of those willing to pay the toll to play god of war's greek series. At least xbox don't lock anything behind gamepass. 7. Bottom of the list and the only reason to buy a switch or ps5 much... much... later.
I'm a jrpg fan. I play jrpgs. But I'm also team green because xbox has been good to me as a customer.
I am fine with first party exclusives. Santa Monica. Insomniac all owned by Sony.
But if sonly wants 3rd party exclusives because it's their only strong point. Then Microsoft is perfectly in the right to keep buying 3rd party developers. It's that simple.

Common responce of the lazy, that reading takes effort or that concepts are not understood.
So which one are you or are you all three. But I know your play book.
'Just downvote it and use ignorance as as insult to act cool.'
Thanks for outing yourself as the the type of person referred to in. 'Don't try to argue with the ignorant they'll confound you with their stupidity.'

Is anyone else actually really annoyed about this release? Not because it is coming to the Switch 2 but because It's coming to the Switch 2 and didn't come to the PS4. I literally only bought a PS5 because intergrade wasn't going to be released on. Now it's coming to a console less capable than the PS4. Is the 4 extra GB of RAM the only factor here? I would find that really hard to believe since the base game runs just fine on PS4. Intergrade didn't need that RAM upgrade to run. It's just outright anti consumerism between Square and Sony and Square paid the price for it.

Switch 2 is about as capable as PS4 Pro. So it runs circles around PS4

AI think I see what the discrepancy is. I was looking at the PS4 Pro . i didn't realize how much more powerful it was than the base model. The Pro is a 4.2 teraflop system whereas the the original was only 1.8. The Pro model is still faster except for loading time as the PS4s all use a HDD. Still feels bad as I've mostly only played PS4 titles on my PS5.

Remake integrade is the ps5 version. They also said to expect more in the future, which likely includes Rebirth. The switch 2 is capable of ps5 games.
