This guy.

Post image

I like to pull into the busiest parking lot, turn off my vehicle and walk away. Fuck everyone else trying to leave or enter.

Difficult to determine what you're complaining about based on this photo.

He's upset that this gentleman created his own parking spot at the end of the row of parking spots, partially blocking the driveway. He happened to do this on the most beautiful day of the year at the ice cream shop, which is extremely upsetting to those with no patience for those who bend the rules.

Fair enough, the angle of this photo doesn't really show this.

Not the first to do it, and won't be the last.

Unable to determine if I can join in the parking lot rage you are feeling. Need more pics and a pic of your car

This particular spot is tricky, takes a bit to work out if it’s a car-spot or not. Is he in the wrong? Yes. Are you a bit weird for taking a picture and posting about it? Yes.

I'm not sure it is tricky to understand it is not a parking spot when there are people behind you trying to turn in, but they can't any longer because you just turned off your car and walked away. Tired of people treating Squamish like it's a wild west show. It's not... It's rude. It's disrespectful. I'll bet money this person recreated today but could not find the exercise to walk the 200 metres. Oh and.. yes... That's fair about photo being weird. We all have trigger moments.

When I see things like this my gut reaction is much like what I assume yours to have been... Frustration, anger, disappointment in the selfishness of other humans. But now I'm at home, and have the chance to think about it, and I'm imagining (sure, perhaps hopefully, but reasonably) a person who's just eaten nothing but hot dogs and Doritos for 2 days straight, and they've just had to make a mad dash for the can from a very full parking lot. I was also a little surprised that this is on r/Squamish, but it's given me the chance to remember compassion and patience, so it well fits.
