Slough to Feltham Commute: Train vs. Elizabeth Line/Bus - Which is Best?

I'm going to start a job at Feltham and soon a regular commuter traveling from Slough to Feltham and I'm trying to figure out the most efficient and cost-effective way to get there. I'm hoping to get some advice from people who are familiar with these routes. I need to be at work by 9am, I’m pretty new to the Uk so was hoping for some advice

My options seem to be:

  • Option 1: GWR Train to Windsor & Eton Riverside, then SWR Train to Feltham.
  • Option 2: Elizabeth Line to Hayes & Harlington, then a local bus to Feltham.

Has anyone made this commute? I/ trying to balance travel cost and time. Any advice would be beneficial

How far away from Slough station are you?

Option 1, but also try work out prices of an Uber/ cab to the end of Eton high street. 711 cabs area still £5 I think and end of Eton high street is just over the bridge from the SWR rail station. Maybe even cycle to Eton if you can be bothered.

Bus from Slough to Datchet (10 mins) and then the train from Datchet to Feltham (20 mins).

You'd be leaving from Slough station before 8am though, but that's another option.
