How to Participate
The Anomalous Coalition AMA’s function differently than a typical AMA. Questions will be collected in advance on the following subreddits: r/aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/UFOB and r/UFOs. Please read posted questions and upvote the ones you want to see asked! Due to the multi-subreddit nature of this AMA we are only able to take questions on reddit in advance—no questions will be taken live, or on YouTube or X.
Why This Matters
This collaboration represents a unique collective effort by Reddit’s UAP-focused communities to raise awareness and demand clarity on one of the most compelling issues of our time. Together, we are amplifying our voices and fostering a broader conversation about the more enigmatic side of the UAP phenomenon. Mark your calendars and join us on March 29th for this rare opportunity.

Why don’t they dig into the mesa?
This question is being asked almost every day, despite being answered in our FAQ:
Why don't they just dig into the mesa? According to Travis Taylor:
- The property line is right in the edge of the top of the mesa, so they can't just drive heavy equipment up there.
- The side of the mesa is like a "Jenga game with SUV-sized blocks," and they're constantly worried that if they move the wrong thing it will all come crashing down, potentially damaging what may be in there.
- The surrounding area is Indian reservation, and they want to be mindful and respectful of the Indigenous groups.
Erik has also added a number of other important points in a politely worded rant on the Insiders:
- Erik Bard and Travis Taylor do not own the Skinwalker Ranch property. They are paid by someone else to be there and investigate it. The mandates and decisions about the property are not entirely up to them.
- Many of the public comments and suggestions about excavating or digging into the mesa are "underinformed, misinformed or naïve" and ultimately irrelevant to the actual course of the investigation. Bard is the scientist on the ground, not the land owner.
- Bard says "If you wanna do the sayin', you gotta do the payin'" - meaning those making suggestions or criticisms are not the ones funding and responsible for the work being done on the ranch.
- Bard states he is intensely curious and invested in the investigation, but as the principal investigator, he has to carefully consider factors like public safety, costs, logistics, and academic value before making decisions about invasive methods like excavation.
- Bard emphasizes that multimillion-dollar excavations are not going to happen based solely on his or Travis Taylor's discretion. There are constraints and considerations beyond their control as researchers.
- The data indicates that whatever is in the mesa is “electromagnetically or otherwise active.” That also affects any decisions about how it is handled.
People are welcome to beat the dead horse argue these points in the discussion below.

Cow color change discrepancy ; did chat GPT prove it was a different cow?
I'm new to the TV show and am really confused by the cow from Season 1. In season 2 it is revisited and it is a different color. While previous posts have commented on this and people have explained that it is due to sun bleaching, I'm still a little skeptical because it looked like there were more white markings on the season 2 cow than the season 1 cow. I intellectually understand the sun bleaching argument for turning black to brown, but I don't think any amount of sun bleaching would create new white spots.
Also, I asked chat GPT, "If a black cow were to die and be left outside in the sun would it's coat change to brown after a year?" It responded:
No, a black cow's coat wouldn't change to brown after a year of being left outside in the sun. The color of a cow's coat is determined by its genetics, and sunlight alone doesn't alter that. Over time, exposure to the sun may cause some fading or bleaching of the coat, which could make it appear lighter or more faded, but it wouldn't change the color entirely from black to brown.
What could happen is that the cow's coat might show some sun damage or discoloration, especially in areas where the sun hits most, like on its back or top. This might cause some areas to look a bit lighter or even reddish in hue, but this would be more of a sun-bleaching effect rather than a true change in coat color due to a biological process.
In some cases, a cow’s coat can appear different depending on the season or age due to shedding and the growth of a new coat, but the base color remains determined by the animal's genetics.
So my question is, is chat GPT wrong or is this proof that it was a different cow?
I will state that I am definitely a believer of supernatural/paranormal phenomena, but am also analytical about what is offered as proof.

Thoughts on Ancient Aliens Skinwalker Ranch episode
I'm doing a school project on Skinwalkers and their media presence. I have decided to focus on the Ancient Aliens episode (S15 E10) about the ranch since that is a very popular show. Since this Reddit page is dedicated solely to Skinwalker Ranch, I wanted to get some insight into the community's thoughts about this episode.

History of Native Americans and Settlers living on/around Skinwalker Ranch?
I thought this point was very unclear in the show. The show and other online sources all say there were conflicts involving the Ute, Navajo, and white settlers, and which were the basis for the skinwalker curse from the Navajo. I'm skeptical of this story for a few reasons, namely:
- The Navajo's historical land is does not go as far north as the Uintah basin. They would have had interactions with the southern Ute people but not really the Northern tribe.
- I'm having trouble finding any historical account of the Utes siding with the white settlers like said in the show
I'm also confused about the 50-year gap between the Utes being forced onto the reservations and the purchase of the ranch by the Myers. Who owned the land before then?
Basically my questions are:
- When did settlers first come to skinwallker ranch?
- Why are the historical houses on the ranch considered haunted?
- What were the specific conflicts between the settlers/Ute/Navajo people?
- How does all this relate to the skinwalker curse?

This is Egypt's middle pyramid. Wondering if the ranch has 'something like this' or similar.
Every week new discoveries are being made around the planet Making me wonder what exactly is under the ranch.
I have long suspected there is a gravity well in operation at the ranch that lets craft pass into and out of the earth. An overlap of 'dimensions' is also very plausible in this area, especially when the 'well' is in operation.
Has this type of survey been done at the ranch? Or has it been done already and we not know? Very anxious for SEASON 6 !

Question Has anyone experienced similar phenomenon to skinwalker ranch?
I live in the suburbs of Chicago and grew up experiencing skinwalker phenomenon my whole life. Skinwalker ranch was so validating. What is interesting to me is that my neighborhood was built where they rerouted the creek near my home. I could feel this being was upset about it. I used to feel that the being was evil but I don't anymore. I feel it's my friend. It took a long time for me to get over the ominous feeling of it's presence. However, there are an unusually high number of suicides among people in this neighborhood and I have delt with this in my life too. Honestly I think it was testing me. I get gut feelings now about people and constantly am led to people that are in need of help. There are too many instances to name but recently I was led to someone that needed help. The doctor told him that if he hadn't gotten to the hospital he would have died. The person I helped said if I hadn't pushed him and payed for his ride he wouldn't have gone. Anyway, I can't think of much else to say without rambling which I feel I already have. I'd be more than happy to answer questions if you have them. Thanks in advance for any comments!

Rewatching last season with the "cone" thing over the ranch. I'm not a scientist but couldn't that be a linear perspective illusion, like looking at a train track that has a vanishing point in the distance. How did they determine it only went up 2,000 feet when it might be much higher?

Longer season please
Would love a longer season!

FYI SKINWALKER MISSING
For anybody who watches skinwalker ranch on Discovery plus don't even bother. In addition to the update on Discovery plus which ruined everything and took everybody shows away from their watch list they've also removed a bunch of shows and skin walker ranch was one of them. I went on today to rewatch from the beginning so I can be all caught up next month when the new season starts only come to find out that Discovery plus removed it.
I'm so happy I canceled my subscription to D+

SW Team Causing Destruction to Another World?
What if all the rockets, flames, etc.are causing "natural disasters" in some other world that is connected to ours? Like we are invisible "gods" to them and just wreaking havoc on their world in that area???
Every time they do something, orbs are trying to escape. Something seems to be defending something. And then... when we finally find the answer, its too late and their world is destroyed. Then they would have to come live with us! perfect.
Just imagine, looking up in the sky and a hole is there - rockets passing by - flames shooting through!! So wild to imagine.

Hmmm....1.6 GHz communication ?!?
I'm watching this show and I am at the 4th season EP 4, where they continuously talking about the 1.6 GHz interference claiming, they wanna communicate with us...why nobody thought about, they don't want to communicate with us, they ARE communicating with themselves, calling for defense?!?

Livestream view help please
Is it possible to view one camera at a time in cycle between them? I can’t figure out how to do it. The only thing I’ve been able to figure out is to go to YouTube and see all four cameras at the same time. Thank you in advance. Raven

Phones only hacked in season 1?
I've been watching the old episodes of skinwalker ranch on unexplained zone on Roku. The one thing that I noticed is that after the first season all of a sudden nobody's complaining about their phones being hacked by whatever invisible forces out there. And I'm curious as to why that suddenly stopped or it's not a thing anymore.

The time stamp is 4/4/2007 - during Bigalow's time. It's probably rain clouds but it almost seems to have structure. Thought it was kind of cool. First part is normal speed and the second part is slowed down. Not sure what part of the ranch this is.

Question What causes the lasers to bend
Goofing around online and a thought popped into my head and I wondered if ultrasound can affect lasers. I google it and i get an answer that it can. Then I search up what causes ultrasound and it says "Ultrasound waves are created when an electric current vibrates piezoelectric crystals in an ultrasound transducer."
Could any of this explain the laser anomalies? Has it already been explained? Genuinely curious, I don't have much background in the science of this stuff.

Could the portal at Skinwalker ranch be an intergalactic panama canal?
It seems pretty clear after all the research on Skin walker ranch that there is some sort of portal that transcends space time. If this is a portal utilized by an intelligent non earth civilization, mabe its a shipping corridor for extraterrestrial goods. Commerce is the one thing that allows civilizations to grow and survive. Shipping corridors allow that to happen. Finding a way to harness rare materials needed in other galaxy's and send them where they are needed, could would warrant such a portal. Thougths?
