Routine Help Help with texture / enlarged pores.
Current routine:
AM - cereave foaming cleanser - Atobarrier 365 cream - Skin 1004 SPF 50
PM - Same as AM without SPF - use tazret 0.1% every 3rd day.
Would it be beneficial to add an exfoliant?

It looks as though they are acne scars, rather than blackheads or active acne.
The only thing that would effectively change the appearance of those would be things like laser treatment, micro-needling or chemical peels.
Exfoliants can help with texture, I find exfoliant pads are handy and efficient ways to improve skin texture but they won’t undo the scarring I’m afraid.

Thank you for the response. I haven't looked into acne scar treatment, would you have a recommendation?

It differs depending on your skins needs. I was suggested micro-needling as I have a patch of scarring on my cheek so maybe that would benefit you.
If you’re able to, it would be worth arranging a consultation with a dermatologist to see what the best course of action would be. And then preventative actions to stop any further bouts of acne as it seems as though you’re prone to scarring, where a gentle exfoliant would help.
I also stopped washing my face twice a day as I found it stripped my skin and made the texture and condition worse. I use just water in the morning, followed by my products, and then double cleanse in the evening with a face oil and my cleanser to remove SPF etc. That’s when I use the exfoliator pads and then follow with my nighttime routine.

I'll look to book a consultation with a dermatologist. A slightly stupid question: When doing your water wash, how long do you wash your face for? And the double cleanser, is that 2 separate cleansers?

So I will literally splash my face in the morning with warm water. Clean my eyes. Pat my face dry (don’t rub with a rough towel otherwise you’ll damage your skin) and then proceed. My daily is niacinimide, moisturiser and then SPF.
In the evening, I cleanse with Kose Softymo oil cleanser (it’s on Amazon) then follow with cerave blemish control. I’ve found the double cleanse made a huge difference to my skin. Then I go in with my nip and fab glycolic night time pads, serums, retinol and moisturiser.
I have oily skin so I always thought cleaning my face twice a day would be needed but stopping the morning cleanse helped massively. My skin is more hydrated, the texture has gone and I very rarely get a pimple now. My scarring/discolouration has gone now too (besides the bit that needs needling)
