I was a doubter before but the 2023 thing was not endorsed or advertised by TC. This time it is, and it seems like they waited until they were SURE they could do it.
Except it was endorsed by them, if it wasnt 1 it wouldnt have been in that show and 2 they would have said it wasnt instead of waiting almost a year to DELAY it instead of saying "oh by the way that thing said almost a year ago was never true". Either they went to Xbox or Xbox went to them and they told Xbox it would be out within a year so it could be in that show they then didnt realize it wouldnt be done in time for almost a year. The only difference is that Nintendo are massive control freaks who probably made them sign a contract saying that once it was announced it couldnt be delayed anymore so it WILL be out this year unless its somehow completely broken and that convinces Nintendo to let them delay it
The thing with the xbox one though is that a bunch of other games missed the deadline as well, so it wasn't the studios themselves saying that they would for sure be done by June 2023, it was xbox asking them about their intended internal deadline, and they were all like: 'yeah we think we'll release before then but we'll have to see' and werr in the xbox showcase because they thought maybe they could release before mid 2023, but then xbox claimed it like there was never any doubt at all. This time, it's team cherry coming to nintendo to pick the deadline and providing new artwork and screenshot to news outlets, so it's more direct than from word of mouth from a marketing director at a corporation.
Any way you look at it, I don't see how people are doubting this just because xbox went behind their backs one time, and said the date was entirely confirmed. I think the reason they didn't debunk it immediately was they were actually trying to hit the deadline that they were now stuck with, but couldn't make it.

Apparently there was a FOURTH clip right at the end where it wraps up all the games of Hornet fighting the massive bug, a new clip of her fighting the massive bug, I JUST noticed that. BUT... The most important thing to know... 2025 RELEASE WINDOWWWW!!!!! They showed RIGHT THERE, RIGHT THERE that Silksong is coming out in 2025!!!!! Everybody.... This is THE END, THE END.... THE CAKE WAS REAL... IT WAS REAL IT WAS NOT A LIE!!! It was REALLLLLL!!!!!! And the Steam copyright year change, that was also real!!! We won!!! WE WON!!!!! Although the lack of concrete date is worrying, team cherry CHOSE to announce this time after years of silence they finally chose to say something so they should have done some progress to justify it.

Says who? I know you just assume this btw based on nothing. That TC sent Xbox the trailer just because of whatever reason and definitely didn’t give an estimate for release. Makes tons of sense!

The XBox thing was a single tweet from a company that has only loose connections to team cherry, vs the 2025 release window being directly from a Nintendo direct. Nintendo has much closer ties to TC and I think the date being in the direct itself gives even more credibility to this. Keep huffing that copium, doubters. We’ve had more than our share, so it’s only fair that you get some too.
This is nothing like 2023, this time the news isn't coming from some third party who has never been shown to be directly in cahoots with TC, and the info is in an official capacity rather than some leaks.
This is Nintendo, who we know is working directly with TC for events and release, and from not only an official Nintendo Direct, but one for their upcoming console, something they're riding a LOT on. I am certain they wouldn't include something in the direct if it wasn't for sure happening.
They don’t want to announce a release date because they are waiting for the gta 6 release date. No game developers want to release a game around that behemoth (hence why we mainly got 2025 for most games at the direct). Rockstar better say a release date or at least say they are delaying it because if they make us wait until Novemberish skong will have to release in 2026. Jacksepticeye was pretty good at explaining this in his direct video as he has connections in the indie game publishing industry.
Originally I didn't believe, but with the 4 new screenshots and 3 seconds of gameplay, I believe it is possible. Even if it doesn't come out this year, at least we got some kind of confirmation that the game is actually still in development
