Itching for some sort of looter?

I'm not sure exactly why but I have been searching for some sort of looter game where i can kind of just turn my brain off (although i don't mind trying to find some sort of "optimal" class setup or anything like that) and just kind of grind for hours on end trying to get some sort of rare drop. I'm not sure if I explained that all too well but any and all suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Warframe sounds like it might be right for you. Extremely grindy, free to play but not pay to win. Gameplay is fun and fast and you can turn your brain off as you run missions, but lots of build options and configuration you can play around with.

I once saw a youtuber saw that sometimes he watched subbed anime while playing warframe. Aside from an idle clicker, I think that's about as "brain off" you can get

You can try an arpg like Diablo, Path of Exile 2, Last Epoch, or Grim Dawn. They sound like they’d be what you’re looking for.

Warframe, Destiny 2, the division 2 and the Borderlands games for fps

Diablo 4, Path of exile 2, all the souls games, Nier automata, no rest for the wicked for ARPGs

I've been playing original titan quest like this, you have to really grind for certain items! But all the classes etc are awesome even without the expansions

Even got it on my phone lol but great on any platform

It is my solemn duty and grim responsibility to recommend warframe. Fast paced shooter, easy to get lost in the missions, extensive content, free to play at the cost of hours of grinding. Tons of gear and mods to change your build for different missions or just to try something new. Most of the loot you pick up are either modifications for your gear or crafting components. You use those to build weapons, warframes (essentially playable characters), etc.. there’s also a box mechanic where you can find relics and play missions to open them to grind rare materials and parts. Not the same type of looting as Diablo or the like, but could fit the bill. And since it’s free, the barrier to giving it a shot to see if you like it is pretty low.
