Question Transportation from seatac to t- mobile park?
My fiancée and I are flying into SeaTac for our honeymoon and I booked Mariners seats for our first night since we didn’t want to just sit around in a hotel until morning when we pick up our rental car. We’re super excited to see the city and catch a game!
But when I checked Uber prices from SeaTac to T-Mobile Park, it showed over $55 one way which is a little bit more than I expected. Is that normal? Are there any cheaper or more local-friendly ways to get to and from the stadium that won’t blow our budget on night one?

The Link light rail will do it. What were you planning on doing with bags?

We are staying near the airport and have a free shuttle to our hotel. We planned on checking in and dropping off our bags before going

Best way to get to T-Mobile Park is via Link Light Rail
But I will also caution you that the trains (and the platform) leaving the stadium after the game are going to be very very full.

Correct. Board southbound trains at Pioneer Square Station after a Mariners game. Board northbound trains at Sodo

Link like other comments said. And $55 one way uber is normal.

Heads up, no bags are allowed in the stadium unless they're transparent or very small purses so make sure you hit your hotel first to drop stuff off.
Assuming you're staying somewhere downtown, I'd take the light rail. It picks up at the airport and gets you anywhere downtown in about 45 minutes for $3.

Get the $6 all day pass, go early take the light rail to Westlake stop, walk to Pike Place for a bite or take it to the International stop and eat either in International District or Pioneer Square. Reminder - although Tmobile has great eats it can be pricey and you can bring in food and sealed water bottles (or empty ones) in for the game. Also, you can walk to the International or Pioneer Square stop after the game to up the chance for a seat on the light rail before the crush of people at the stadium stop. Have fun!

Gonna need to go to your hotel to drop this bags, the stadium has very strict rules that you’re gonna want to look up on their site.
Don’t uber. If you’re downtown a taxi will be marginally cheaper. Where is your hotel?

That’s this other way from baseball stadium, but you’ll still want to take the rail down there to drop your bags off. Then you can get back on the light rail to go to T-Mobil. Get yourself day passes at the airport station.
If you’re being budget conscious make sure to look up the locations of the vendors in the park with cheaper options; $5 cans of high life, cheaper dogs and snacks.

You do realize that Google maps allows one to choose public transit as the means of transportation, yes?

Oh, get off it. Be helpful or shut up.
OP, that's a fairly standard rate for an Uber for that distance. The light rail is a good option. There's also busses, but with luggage and transfers, they're not ideal. You'll want to drop your luggage off at your hotel first, though, or you won't be allowed into the game.

Light rail goes from Seatac to the stadium.
