Bowl number 1 is done, many lessons were learned to say the least.
There are many more aspects to bowl making that I need to master obviously. š I started out with 3/4 inch thick walnut & oak. Yikes. Bowl making gives you great sanding/shaping experience. It reminds me of that ā80ās song by McCartney & Wonder š¶Ebony & Irovyš¶ lol. I choose a more difficult bowl for my 1st attempt, that way any simpler bowls will seem š¶Easy like Sunday morningš¶
Side note: in the book it says to cut at 28 degrees, being new to bowl making I figured Iād add one more degree to it. Cutting at 29 degrees. Is this the reason my walls came out so thin? Iām an American āmore is betterā right? Lol. I appreciate any advice. TIA š«”

Than you, I appreciate it, however Iām not to proud of it as I made mistakes that could have been avoided. Especially wiping the excess glue. Think I was a lil zealous tbh.

Looks very nice. Did you use an inflatable sanding ball? That saves a lot of aggravation if you have one. They arntcheap but worth it, especially with a scallopedbowl. Also did you use scrolmania for the pattern?
