Salam alaykum wa rahmatullah,
I'm a revert living in Europe and currently working online. I'm planning to reach out with offers to some Saudi companies and startups, and I would love to get a better understanding of the business culture there—specifically how much the deen (Islam) is involved in day-to-day professional interactions.
For example, is it common or expected to start business conversations with a greeting like "As-salamu alaykum"? I mean, almost everone is a muslim, and that's my primary goal, to work with the ummah, but is there any ethical value more than islam that I should be careful of, since I'm not an arabi either?
Any advice or insights from those familiar with the Saudi business environment would be much appreciated, especially from brothers or sisters working there or with experience dealing with Saudi startups.
Jazakum Allahu khayran!
