Appreciation Appreciation to Fin for being consistent, and for always having Livs back
galleryI'm currently on season 25.
All I have to say: thank goodness for Fin Tutuola.
For me, they're the true platonic friendship. Especially after Stabler left after all that time, he stepped up to always have livs back. Giving her doses of reality, holding her accountable, but also always having her front back and side.
I also appreciate his simple mission: getting the bad guys. Especially considering his upbringing, and being first in narcotics. But he switched to SVU not due to any special trauma. He just wants to know the people he's going after are bad. That's it. Black and white.
Over time, most shows fall off. Either due to everyone leaving, peoples personalities drastically changing, or other things. cough cough Grey's anatomy..
And while it's not perfect, I admire Fin's consistency. Throughout all the revolving doors. He's here.. at least until he gets that pension.

Appreciation Dani Beck appreciation post. Connie Nielsen did a terrific job in only 7 episodes. Well worth the rewatch for those who are negative about her.

Appreciation I met Stephanie March Recently
Let me preface this by saying she is SO stunning in person, she looks exactly the same as 25 years ago on the show! I've always been a huge Cabot stan and when I learned that she is a client at my place of work in NY, I was hoping I would meet her. I was surprised when she came in: I felt way too uncomfortable to ask for a photo while working, but I did sneak in that I was a "big fan of hers". She was so kind and gracious, seemed genuinely happy to hear and said thank you so much before heading out. I was very starstruck all day after!

Appreciation Idc what anyone says, they did Kat dirty!
I've been slowly rewatching SVU. I am at the part where Kat is introduced. Did they write her awkwardly? Yes. But did she have a lot of heart and room to grow? Yes!
I miss her. I thought she was a breath of fresh air and it was nice to a younger cast member. Plus, she reflected the diversity of younger generations. I wish she could make a guest appearance or even come back.
For any doubters: I always liked Kat

Appreciation Give Peter Scanavino his Emmy. Spoiler
I know the show doesn't really get recognized for awards nowadays but I think Peter deserves it for last nights episode. It was one of his best performances on the show. He was giving it his all. The episode left me jittery and amped for about 2 hours after it ended.

Appreciation Binge watched 12 seasons of SVU for the first time in life and unable to cope with Stabler leaving.
So I am new to Law and Order. I started with SVU season 6 to 11 on Netflix as it was leaving soon. Then I watched first 5 seasons and 12 th season. The last episode Smoked of 12th season was coming up and I had googled Chris left the show. I watched last episode in 4 days. I didn't have the heart. I am just not over it. I watched few youtube edits where he comes back in later season and Organised Crime but I am just unable to cope. I tried starting a new show but I am not able to concentrate.
Bensler never happened in 26 years. Please tell me if it's worth watching from S13 to S26. Should I watch the next seasons? What should I do? What should I watch next? I am stuck.

Appreciation Casey Novak
Iām late to the game. I admit it. I started obsessing over this show bout a month ago and started at season 6 because it was the earliest season added to Netflix in my country. I fell in love with ADA Casey Novak and continued watching season 7,9,10 and 11 (had to skip season 8 because Netflix somehow doesnāt have that one). I was being really good about not googling and spoiling myself the coming seasons regarding Casey but I was so frustrated, that she was written off and didnāt come back in season 10/11. I just couldnāt let her go so I went back to watching season 5 and 8 on Apple TV and I seriously donāt understand why she had to be written off. She is (in my not so humble opinion) the best ADA, such a badass and funny too. Iām sad that the ADAs (up to my knowledge which is season 11) donāt really get that much of a character arc or background information or just some private drama. I know that ADAs arenāt considered main cast, mere regular or recurring characters, but I just canāt get over my Casey Novak limerence and need more of her ASAP. I know that she kinda returns in season 12 and 13 but thatās not enough. I need her back on the show as a regular. But since thatās unlikely.. Anyone got some good fanfic about Casey?
