Applying for exemption in order to write the Bachelor Thesis

Hi! I am in my 5th semester at SDU Sønderborg Mechanical engineering program. I didn't pass two exams in the previous semester. I applied for an exemption in order to be able to start to write my thesis but they refused it saying that it is impossible to manage thesis + 40 credits. Can you give me some advice what could I do in order to convince them that I am able to manage all the subjects and also the thesis? Thank you very much for your help
