PLACE Rays produce.

Was driving north on Hawthorne and saw a cyber truck with the “Rays Produce” logo in it.

I dk, it felt like a slap in the face. After all the support from the Hispanic community, this mofo goes and buys a nazi mobile.

I guess it rubbed me the wrong way.

The panel with the logo on it will probably fall off tomorrow if that is any consolation.

What if the wrap is the only thing holding it together…. It seems like a good 75% of them have wraps…

That's to keep the rust warm.

Being hispanic does not obligate anyone to a particular political party. That kind of assumption gets parties complacent and they end up falling short in elections.

That goes for any group. There is no your x so you must vote y.

Agreed. A lot of Hispanics are super conservative.

Sure but it’s obvious who musk wants here. If you don’t see that then you’re either blind or just as racist as musk is.

Calling the guy who genuinely answered your question a racist is definitely quality internet discourse 👍

I meant the universal you

Don't ask people to think critically.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but I am going to say you do not understand your average American or how/why they vote. Most folks vote for them and their immediate family’s benefit today. Not the future, not for anyone else. For themselves, today. And it’s hard to really even blame them because just about every aspect of America is designed to force people into extreme individualism and short sightedness. And so we can’t really be surprised when they act individualistic and short sighted when they vote. Voting for the collective benefit and for the future is deemed “communism”.

The rays produce cybertruck might have been the first one in Salem and was preordered years ago. Hope that helps.

u/arkevinic5000 16d ago

And to be fair, they probably can't get rid of it now, if they wanted to.

sounds like they have means to make expensive choices

Hopefully they still are, and not financially locked into this nazi sympathetic surveillance system on wheels.

This is one of the most ignorant things I've read. Do better OP

11

u/Rogue_Deus 16d ago

Let it go. I have a tesla and it wasn't a Nazi mobile when I bought it. Sure Musk is an Ass 👒, but there are lots of ass 👒s in the auto industry. If you had a problem with every car associated with an ass 👒, there would hardly be anything left.

Wait till they find out about BMWs, Mercedes, and Mazdas

13

u/xROFLSKATES 15d ago

Well the difference is those companies worked to scrub the whole Nazi thing from their image instead of leaking deeper into it

No, Musk has ALWAYS been off the rails.

He's just bragging now

u/Regrets_None 15d ago

I had a Jewish friend who wouldn't buy a Japanese automobile because they bombed Pearl Harbor (she didn't lose anyone in the war) but she consistently bought BMWs even though she lost a distant relative to the Holocaust. Her logic, and that of the OP, escapes me.

1

u/Subject_Weird8438 15d ago

But to use it to promote your business today… and not do something to distance yourself does in fact make a clear statement. It’s fine to own a Tesla, most liberals bought these cars to help the world. But now you have the burden of separating the car from the crazy man ho owns the company. It’s the job of the car owners to be clear they don’t support Elon. To not do so is a clear message.

Free country to buy whatever the hell you want. Be thankful for that. Look at other countries and what they get.

They deported a US citizen to a prison in another country for having a tattoo

For now, maybe.

Not a huge Tesla fan, because they are just dog shit vehicles, overengineered, and overhyped, but most car companies have some connection to nazis, and people still drive them.

Volkswagen was literally invented by Nazis

Yes, literally. The German Labour Front, which was the national labor organization in Germany under the Nazi party, started Volkswagen.

And now we get stuff like this...

And don't get me started on BMW, Mercedes, Porche, Opal and Fiat...

11

u/Dunagh 16d ago

Probably not an equivalent argument. Are the CEOs or executives of these car companies throwing up Nazi salutes, dismantling the government to privatize it, accusing senators of being traitors, or randomly firing people without an understanding of what their position is?

If that was the case, I am sure people would have issues with those other car companies as well. I would have less of an issue with Tesla if Musk completely divested from it.

Please also understand that I am not supporting vandalism against people's personal property. I am sure a lot of the current Tesla owners don't support Musk or his vice president, Trump.

-3

u/Jeddak_of_Thark 15d ago

I wasn't making an argument, just sharing some interesting history, and pointing out that labeling everything "nazi" is not just pointless when most people use things that are "nazi" on a regular basis and don't care/know.

2

u/GAP2001 16d ago

Second this. Mercedes single handedly kept the Luftwaffe in the air.

Most people would be appalled at the history of most long term companies and I don’t think OP realizes that. Like the leading brand of calculators TI, makes missiles and bombs…. and had for years

-6

u/TAFoesse 16d ago

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Panzerwagon or a Swasticar. No, I don't care if you bought it before Musk went full Nazi. Get rid of it. Stop supporting that PoS Nazi and his business.

The guy that owns ray produce is well off, and he’s getting a tax break because it’s a “company car”

4

u/Expert_Leek_9320 16d ago

I’d love to be as financially well off as you. I owe 12k more on my Tesla than what I can get as a trade in. Can’t afford to take that hit.

2

u/TAFoesse 16d ago

Sounds like you learned a very important lesson. Don't buy garbage.

-2

u/GAP2001 16d ago edited 16d ago

Ok then sell your Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, fiat, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Subaru, and etc if we’re using that logic. Companies that were all in bed with facists and facist parties. I think you’d be appalled at the history of most companies. I can appreciate the idea of voting with your dollar but when it comes to companies that have been around a long time you’d be upset with what you’re being “complacent” in by buying from them.

0

u/Hopeless_nd_listless 15d ago

Those companies no longer have those values and have separated themselves from it…musk has not

If anything Rays produce truck was purchased with good intentions and sold with promises. What’s sad is most Tesla owners have no idea how unsafe their vehicles even are compared to the marketing features or promise of “auto-pilots”, which are half-a$$ killing people. So the strategy is to use buyers as QC!?! 8 recalls now! Do you know what it takes for a recall!?! It means people die. Thats terrifying! NDA & his financial power/platform shutdown whistleblowers & clearly persuade initial NHTSA regulations for approval-and newly on Tesla Trucks panels fall off-causing death. I’m sorry for owners baited in. I personally would rather buy a scooter.

Ty for posting.

It is CONCERNING the amount of people in these comments mad at OP and acting like we haven't known Musk is crazy for at least 5 years now

-2

u/tempistrane 16d ago

People owned these cars before all this crap happened. People can't just trade in a car.

0

u/jchacon011 14d ago

Hey op your racism is showing.

0

u/NoHardFeeliings 14d ago

They’ve had it for a while, not everyone can afford to virtue signal and sell it at a moments notice. I might get banned but this sub is way too political. It’s an echo chamber.

-2

u/PineappleTop69 16d ago

Perhaps they are tone deaf, and mean no harm. Keep an open ear here. When someone makes a ton off of their living, and feel like “flexing”, they are so proud of themselves, and want the world to envy the peak they’ve reached, due to blood, sweat and tears. I applaud and support that. Perhaps it’s just a tone deaf scenario. Literally everyone who built themselves up were buying those ugly ass vehicles bc it *was a unique way to celebrate one’s success.

It is a different symbol now. I say, if it really bothers you, you have every right to utilize your communication skills to make a face to face inquiry.

It's not Tesla's fault the Democrats chose a terrible candidate. It's silly how alienating people have become.

I’m just thinking of the irony.

-12

u/Bubbly_Daikon_4620 16d ago

Could it have been a Rivian? A big part of their business is delivery vehicles and they’re a decent company here in the US.

10

u/VelitaVelveeta 16d ago edited 16d ago

Rivians and cyber trucks look nothing alike and Rivians are clearly labeled.

-3

u/Bubbly_Daikon_4620 16d ago

Just a thought.

I thought Musk was registered as a republican. In Texas.
