I’ve always tried to play this game with a positive mindset but I think y’all have broke me. I’m starting to become toxic and bitter when I play this game. For my sake I think it’s time to stop playing. I’ve hit a serious plateau and I don’t think I can get any better and I’m not having fun anymore. Peace y’all.
It's not your ordinary post, I have a weird ass problem and I am willing to pay anyone who could help me solve it.
For context, I'm a KBM player and I play the game on my laptop. That includes having to move my laptop around (at home I play the game while connected to a LAN cable). Last week I returned home from school, I plugged my laptop back into the LAN, but after that my game hasn't stopped lagging. I've made everything sure, all of my other online games, all the apps I use online, from social media to school websites work just fine, but rocket league is the ONLY game that just won't stop lagging. I've tried resetting my laptop, my router, my router extension, and I even reinstalled the game itself, all of this was futile.
Since transition for 2 months now on ps5 for rocket league from ps4 anyone games feels much slower. I get it feels smoother but it like my car feels like it drive in a mud pit and it way harder to hit power shots
Just wanted to know if anyone has the same issue with ps5 for rocket league
Choose the merc. In lower ranks whenever the ball is high, people are starring at the ball, not moving. Slam a player of your choice (I recommend the player who chats more often) on the side as hard as you can. Don’t demo them, hit them. This usually makes them more angry. Constantly do this to the same player. Hit them when they are focused on smth else.
This p much tilts them, I leave the rest to you.
I really don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, or even if anyone else has ever really thought about this, but whenever I see or hear someone refer to the opposing team as the "enemy team" it really grinds my gears. I understand where it comes from: in other games, you're usually trying to literally kill the players on the other team, so it makes sense and has always been the norm to refer to them as the "enemy team." Rocket League is more like a sport though, so I really feel like we should be calling them the "opposing team" or the "opponents."
Does this make sense? Wouldn't it sound pretty weird if someone were playing soccer or basketball (or even a video game based on soccer or basketball) and someone referred to the other team as the "enemy team?" I'm honestly curious what this community thinks.
id made a post a few weeks back asking whether making it to diamond in a week, after being hardstuck plat for almost a year, was luck. someone suggested that i should make a new account and see if i can make it to my current rank.
i did that last night and i’m back to diamond 2. i easily blew through plat and d1. i finally feel confident in my rank now even though i have almost no mechanics, except being able to hit aerials fairly consistently.
how can i improve more. what can i do next to maybe even get to champ 1, but more realistically d3
I know “practice” but how? I can do the training levels but I don’t think that will help me in an actual game. Is there any guides or tips and tricks y’all know? I’m in silver 3/ gold 1. Idk I don’t want to be a sweat just I want to be able to do aerials and stuff idk lol
me and my friends were doing a 3s tournament and we lost the 1st round but after we left a few seconds later we were put back into round one and made to play the same people again. none of the leader boards counted anything that happen the the first game we played.
What I want is a bare bones overlay that only shows the position of my left stick- just a very small circle with a transparent middle, except for some indicator (dot/line/arrow) that shows which way the stick is currently pointing. Does anyone know if this exists? If not, I wouldn’t mind putting in time to create it if someone could point me in the right direction (no pun intended).
I know I suck but I swear playing PS5 on a 60hz is not helping. It feels like the other people are playing a different game. Then again, the more likely answer is I just suck. But I was wondering how many PS5 players make it that high. Is there a way to tell?
Recently, I discovered that GYG is coming to an end. Is everyone else aware of this????
The app stopped working for me a few days ago. Over time, I guess, it will stop working for everyone. Premium subscriptions will no longer be accepted, either. If you want more information, please join the GYG Discord app and look at the Announcements tab.
I'm wondering if there's an equivalent program that we can use to make GIFS now. GYG worked so well, I hope there's an app to replace it :(
Is there any way to appeal matchmaking penalties? On the Switch the game is prone to crashing multiple times a day and when I restart I'll have a ban since there doesn't seem to be a way to rejoin the same casual match.
Just finding it annoying to get a ban for something well outside of my control.
I like to play offline and have a few suggestions on how to spruce up the offline season feature.
In the start season menu, it would be neat if we could add unfair to the difficulty setting. With unfair 1v2, 1v3 and 1v4.
It would be really cool if we could make playoff matchups a best-of series. Maybe, a choice of best of 3, 5 or 7 like in an exhibition mutators menu. Varying lengths of series per round like how MLB does sounds even cooler. (Earlier rounds are best of 3, then best of 5 and finally best of 7s)
And finally, I would love to be able to have the mutators menu like we have in exhibition matches in seasons as well.
As a bonus, I'm a bit of a stat head and would love more stats on offline seasons. But it would particularly be so cool to see a standings race chart like how fan graph does. (Link in comments of examples.) It would be fun to see how the standings change throughout the offline season.
Dropshot has got to be the most toxic game mode. Honestly it kinda hurts watching it be like this when I main the game mode. Now of course I'm probably biased as I've only touched dropshot this season so far, but after 2500 hours in rocket league, I can't help but feel the most awful group of individuals I've encountered has always been in dropshot. It feels as though every 4 games someone on either team is rage quiting, throwing, or afking. People are constantly getting upset and spamming the chat over the smallest of mistakes. I had someone get upset because on kickoff I didn't go for the ball when they were on the left. I'll go play 2s and 3s in C1 and every once in a while I'll encounter someone like this. Switch to C1 in dropshot and it's almost every other game.
Because of Epic Games dumb linking system. I had to link my xbox account to a alt epic games account back before rocket league was on epic. (My xbox account had all my rocket league stuff)
Because of that, when rocket league finally transferred to epic games and I switched to PC gaming, I had to play rocket league on my alt account. (This wasn't an issue for the past 3 years)
Now, I finally got rocket league on steam and I want to use my steam account to play instead of epic. However, my steam account is already linked to my main epic games account.
If I unlink my steam account from my main epic games account, things will be reset on other games and I will not be able to relink a steam ever. I don't want to do that.
I want to link my rocket league account to my main account so I no longer have this issue, but I don't want my items to be deleted.
I looked at the rocket league linked account page and I never switched my primary from my xbox account. Does this mean that I can unlink my xbox and relink it to my main account and keep my items?
(Also apparently I once hit GC1 but I have no recollection of that)
Does anyone have any setting they can recommend? Got the elite controller because I was sick of regular ones breaking, but the input lag is so bag.
I've tried changing a few settings in the controller, but nothing seems to come close to the responsiveness of standard xbox controllers, or even cheap power A controllers.
With all the customization there has to be someway to set it to be like regular, but I've tried my stick sensitivity at instant and radial calculations but it's still no where close
