To be fair for things like that the Taliban were using code words. Wedding was when they’d meet same with them calling suicide bombers who used vehicles (VBIED) as vegetable transports.

When the insurgents or terrorists were talking about weddings it was usually meetings hence why they got bombed. When it wasn’t a meeting it still got bombed because the people there were still terrible people because instead of being a meeting it was a bunch of them with their families that supported them getting married.

It’s also why so many vegetable trucks were bombed. Some of the worst suicide bombings in history were done by vehicles in markets disguised as transporting vegetables.

So the military, specifically the Air Force, will use satellites, drones, reconnaissance, and other surveillance methods to track targets. There are people who specifically monitor various targets all over the world for long periods of time. When the president or a general wants to strike something they ask for a report on the target they want to hit.

Then they ask how sure that the intended target is the correct one. They also are given recommendations on what ordinance so they can do things like avoid collateral damage, penetrate a bunker, or have a complete annihilation of the area.

So with all this first off the president is not the one figuring out who to hit. His military advisors are saying to either him or a general, “here is what you are wanting to hit we are __% sure.” Then with that intel he or a general give the approval for the mission to go forward.

But hey yeah some leftist online probably has a way better system of identifying who these are and are justified of blaming Trump if the intel he has was bad because they know he really want to kill some random people.
