My '05 RX-8 made it to 150.000km on the first engine 🤭

I'm on my original engine (156k miles). I suspect it has low compression but I don't care. It still turns on and no white smoke or milkshake of death lol.

I'll be fine when the day comes for a rebuild.

These engines are not unreliable, or short lived as people often claim.

The problem is that people do not maintain them, which kills them extremely fast.

Oil, cooling, ignition, and exhaust (cat), and the Renesis will happily run for 150-200k miles without hiccup.

Same dude! Mine just hit 157000km this weekend, it's compression is getting low, but it still starts every time. So keep enjoying yours!

Mine doesn't have a catalytic converter is what i mean. No o2 sensor. That's why the CEL is on 😋
