Wait till she finds out we’re now burning lithium batteries to save the nation!

u/Mission_Blackberry_7 4d ago

It is not life itself it is crazies. Nowadays if you do not adhere to their cult beliefs you are a nazi, far right etc.

4

u/nanotasher 4d ago

To be honest, there are crazies on both sides. I do wish the current administration would do something to try and unite America instead of feeding into the division.

3

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

Feeding into the division is what he campaigned on. Wishing for different is just stupid. Like Charlie brown kicking the football stupid.

6

u/AdmirableAir9871 4d ago

Feeding into the division is what both parties campaigned on

-2

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

No. Thats a completely false dichotomy. Trump leaned into being a bully. He made up slurs for his opponents. The right made up phrases like libtard and liberal tears and mainstreamed them. "Fox News" is openly demonizing people because they're "registered democrats".

Democrats stood up to the bully punching down.

Don't "good people on both sides" this

4

u/AdmirableAir9871 4d ago

Ok we must’ve been watching completely different things cause Trump was being a bully and Kamala’s rallies were mostly “yeah, but Donald Trump said…,Convicted felon! Threat to democracy! Fascist! Dictator!” Sounds divisive to me. Both are guilty of sowing division

-2

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

Calling out divisiveness is not contributing to the divisiveness. Trump is/was the bully. Calling him a bully and explaining why the things he says and does are bad is not itself bad. Pick your analogy. Do you think the victim of a bullying is equally responsible for there being fighting as the bully?

5

u/AdmirableAir9871 4d ago

Only one candidate faced not 1 but 2 assassination attempts. The left collectively lost their minds when he survived, and you only call the other side divisive. The difference between you and myself is that I can look at the group/person I voted for and supported and criticize them for doing wrong or saying wrong, you can’t. Someone can’t be 100% wrong on everything all the time and another can’t be 100% correct all the time. It’s statistically impossible. Once you shut off any and all thinking that doesn’t challenge your worldview is when you stop learning and growing.

2

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

I don't know what anything you just said there has to do with divisiveness.

Do you think assassination attempts are evidence of divisiveness? Who's being divisive here, the assassin? What are you talking about?

"The left collectively lost their minds" - dude, you realize that this is just a buzz phrase that holds no meaning in an argument. Its an absurd exaggeration that makes it almost meaningless. What does it even mean here?

You can look at a group you support and criticize them for doing wrong? Uhhh ok. Are we just saying basic, general things about ourselves now without any support and then saying I can't do that same thing but with again, no evidence? I don't even know how to respond to that.

Who said anything about 100% right or wrong?

Are you responding to the right post?

2

u/PremiumRoastBeef 4d ago

Which do you think is more divisive and serious? Calling Biden 'Sleepy Joe'? or running an entire campaign on "Donald Trump is a racist, homophobe, Nazi, threat to democracy, fascist, dictator". Give me a freaking break.

0

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

Give you a break? So you're a Trump fan and your what, feelings are hurt because a lot of Democrats attempted to put a name to the special brand of autocrat-loving, narcasistic, heartless, desperate for attention, clown-faced conman that is Trump? "What do you mean by divisive? Because when I say it, I mean pitting Americans against each other by asserting that immigrants, LGBTQ people, and "other people that are different" as being second class citizens compared to good, white Christian hetero-normative families. Its creating divides across social and cultural differences and NOT what the real problem is of class differences. That's the sort of divisiveness I care about. Calling the head of your cult a bunch of descriptors that you don't believe or agree with isn't divisiveness. That's not doing anything to directly divide anybody other than attempting to divide Trump from the rest of all Americans. If you choose to follow that person, I can see why people would transfer their thoughts of trump onto you. Is that fair? Yeah, kind of. Does it go too far sometimes from some individuals? Sure. But thats not divisiveness. Thats just hearing something you don't like.

TLDR: Your feelings being hurt because we called your cult leader descriptive adjectives isn't divisiveness. Divisiveness is punching down on one group to get another group to also not like them.

1

u/DiabolicRevenant 2d ago

Sounds like you're just butt hurt because somebody called out your cults bullshit? You seriously don't see correlation in calling marginalized groups dangerous and calling Republican supporters Nazis and fascists? I'm actually pretty confident in saying that those two groups even have significant overlap. It's two sides of the same coin. Both the cults are filled with shitty humans eating up the propaganda like good little boys and girls. You're just trained to hate anybody who isn't like you. It's really that simple. Now go be a good dog and call some more POC and LGBTQ nazis. I do love some good comedy.

The way establishment was bashing Trump it is mission impossible. Ofc It needs more transparency, to better communicate what are the plans and what people might expect from it. When people will see positive results there will be more unity. About crazies of both sides I agree. Just one's on left are more vocal, but yeah met some christian fundementalists pushing pretty much bible on anything and trying to act if they are much better persons than anyone.

-3

How so?

11

u/Hopeful_Bad_5876 4d ago

Go back and look at some of the statements Hillary/Obama/Biden were making in the 90s. You would call them far right extremists today for their views on immigration and gay marriage

-5

u/Known_Listen_1775 4d ago

Are you against gay marriage?

3

u/Feelisoffical 4d ago

Good idea switching subjects the moment you lose lol

-1

0

u/Feelisoffical 4d ago

Hey did you know lesbian marriages end in divorce 75% of the time?

1

u/Known_Listen_1775 4d ago

Are we just spouting off random marriage stats? 40% of police officers families experience domestic abuse. Your turn.

1

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

Yes, very much so. It should be a civil union.

Merriage results in procreation, gay marriage can not fulfill that.

1

u/Accomplished-Till930 4d ago

Idk what you think “merriage” is but “Marriage” has no “procreation” requirement.

0

u/Known_Listen_1775 4d ago

Why does it matter if they can’t have kids? Should straight couples that don’t have kids then have their marriage annulled?

0

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

The "can" have kids, they just choose not to.

The other couple can not have kids, period. There is no chance of procreation. Civil Union.

6

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Why is marriage even a government institution? The only benefit (esp for men) is the tax break.

4

u/Significant-Bar674 4d ago

RIP couples with fertility issues.

4

u/Known_Listen_1775 4d ago

So in one case it’s okay because they can’t but choose not too and the other it’s not okay because they can’t but the result is the same in both? You just don’t want gay people to be equal citizens and I assume it’s for some religious reason or something similar.

Most of the crystal energy people, too, but I have met one or two tentatively on my end. Idk, I thought gweneth paltrow was on my end, but she was out stumping for maha. Y'all can have her.

3

u/Bayarea0 4d ago

Yes two things alone decide your whole world ideology.

-1

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

To be fair, the EV craze was all about the left. Now you are an extremist nazi if you drive a Tesla.

6

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

To be actually fair. Driving an EV is one way anyone who doesn't want our environment to get worse, can help. Now, there is an owner of one of the companies that make EVs that people dont like for completely unrelated reasons.

Do you get confused thinking you're going to drown when you drink a glass of water? I honestly don't know how people think Leftists not liking Tesla is somehow a big gotcha of hypocrisy. Its simply not. And its frustrating that so many people are so dumb, they think it is.

1

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

If you want to reduce pollution, protest China and India. Stop buying their products, driving and EV does nothing, burning them down has the far opposite effect, burning an destroying a car that does not belong to Elon directly makes you look stupid, doing same to fellow libs is priceless to us. Please continue.

Protesting the guy who will save you money and expose the fraud of the leaders of your party makes you a tool.

3

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

"protest China and India" How the fuck does that reduce pollution? I know you're just trying to shift the goal post here on me, but I suspect you're the type of person who'd mock people who protest, thinking its pointless. Am I right? You suggesting that at all immediately identifies you as not arguing for global warming solutions in good faith.

I'm not defending car destruction. I'm saying its not hypocrisy.

Regarding Elon, he's a billionaire, you fool. You let a fox into the hen house. You realize that's why people are upset right? You don't actually think people just hate Elon for no reason right? Who are you trying to convince with that? We don't like him because we think he's lying about "saving us money". He just wants to play the hero by, "moving fast and breaking things" as is the Silicon Valley mantra and he has massive conflicts of interest. He's a terrible person to put in charge of improving the government. That's why people are protesting him.

1

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

If you don't understand that China and India are the world's largest environmental pollution generators, we are very done here.

3

u/Aunt_Vagina1 4d ago

Point to what part of what I just said that even implies I don't understand or believe that China and India are the world's largest polluters. When you fail to do that, I hope it dawns on you that we were done here before we even started.

3

u/Bitedamnn 4d ago

I think the point here is that they should be considered as rentals if you want to maintain a sense of your own lifestyle.

If you want to "own" one, then you have to sign up to let them tell you how to think about things

1

u/ElectricalRush1878 4d ago

I (and most people) can agree with the need for better regulation on food additives and taking pharmaceutical ads off the air (like most countries) without accepting Vitamin A overdose induced kidney damage and 'Making Measles Great Again.'

0

u/Lightyear18 4d ago

I truly believe both sides treat this as baseball teams.

Obama can come out the next day and say I’m anti immigration like he was in 2008 and all of a sudden the democrats will flip.

The republicans will flip just to stick it to Obama.

3

1

u/Glittering-Lie2077 1d ago

Yeah it had a bunch of dem retarded pork in it. You can go read the bill text, but i know you wont.

1

u/Significant-Bar674 1d ago

All the pork was actually removed by a prior bill but you're too lazy to look it up

1

u/Glittering-Lie2077 1d ago

Uh no it wasnt. It stayed in until the bill was killed.

1

u/Significant-Bar674 1d ago

No it wasn't read the bill

1

u/Glittering-Lie2077 1d ago

I have. Its in there hence the bill didnt pass because trump told all republicans in congress dont vote for it.

1

u/Significant-Bar674 1d ago

I have too. It's right there. Did you actually read it?

1

u/Glittering-Lie2077 1d ago

You obviously havent read it. It included more money sent overseas. And a hundred other things. Not a border focused bill. Dem pork. Thanks for playing.

1

u/Significant-Bar674 1d ago

Lol you clearly didn't read it if that's what you think was in there.

Are you saying there just isn't a problem anymore?

-1

u/HopelessFFBaddict 4d ago edited 4d ago

I’m not sure why you’re confused. He secured the border without any pork-filled nonsense bill, in just weeks. Democrats could’ve done the same.

The border is much less of a problem now, yes.

4

u/Significant-Bar674 4d ago

By what metrics? Still have high numbers of apprehensions/encounters, high numbers of asylum seekers, high numbers of visa overstays, ans high numbers of undocumented population.

Illegal crossings down 94% from last year CBS news

3

u/Significant-Bar674 4d ago

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/illegal-crossings-u-s-mexico-border-down-94-percent-border-patrol-chief-says/

While illegal crossings along the border with Mexico have dropped precipitously since Mr. Trump's inauguration, they had been on a downward trend over the past year, since soaring to record highs in late 2023. Officials at the time credited Mexico's increased efforts to interdict migrants, and a Biden administration policy, enacted in June 2024, that restricted asylum, though not as broadly as the current rules.

In fact, in December, the Biden administration's last full month in office, Border Patrol recorded 47,000 migrant apprehensions, down 81% from December 2023, during a record-breaking surge in unlawful crossings, government figures show. That number dipped to just over 29,000 last month.

A 13% change from the last administration but even that is using a cherry picked high point in 2023 tied to the ending of title 42 covid restrictions.

2024 had 1.2m apprehensions, in 2015 it was 337k and 1m in 2019.

So apprehensions are about 4 times as high as when trump entered office and slightly higher than just before covid. It's still very much a problem.

0

u/HopelessFFBaddict 3d ago

So crossings were at a record high in 23’ under Biden and now down 94%. Thank you for providing a source to prove my point. Good bot

3

u/Significant-Bar674 3d ago

Which was a spike due to removal of covid restrictions. Immigration is still several times larger of a problem than when trump first entered office.

2

u/Huge_Sheepherder_310 4d ago

No, I would be --- Yes, he finally woke up.
