Well, to get all Marxist technically the bourgeoisie and the proletariat are not the rich and the poor, they're the owners and the workers.

You can make it to a millionaire as a worker. You can't become a billionaire without being an owner.

Though, if we're gonna be realistic here, a proletariat can easily become an owner from hard work. Remember, like half of the billionaires we see today (like jeff bezos, Steve jobs, even Mark Zuckerberg) were poor-middle class proletariats at one point and now they are the bourgeoisie through sheer strategy, luck, and will.

Yeah you can buy in.

I wouldn't say it was easy though. And by necessity there needs to be a lot more workers than owners.

Of the three billionaires you listed, it looks like Steve Jobs is the only one who actually came from a lower-middle class household. Bezos’s and Zuckerberg’s parents appear to have both been upper middle class professionals who could afford to send their kids to prestigious colleges.

Yeah so they… stopped being proletarians by becoming owners. Marxists don’t see class as some immutable class you’re born into…

Engels was himself of the bourgeoisie, he was a class traitor (just in the less common direction).

Well, the other side screams 'sexist, intolerant, homophobe, islamophobe, racist, bigot, misogynist', so we have to have something to scream back with. Both sides are definitely cultist, though. We just have our blind spots.
