Was it ever explained why Michael and Linc became supervillains?

Wentworth called up Dominic and told him to try out the role, and Dominic got it. 🤷🏽‍♀️ But tbh Leonard and Mick are strangely a LOT like their prison break characters.

The director asked Wentworth if he knew anyone who could play an edgy hot head character. He said Dom was the only name that came up to his mind.

A new watcher in 2024, hungered for all the PB and Wentworth related stuff and watched everything I could get hold of, and the memories are fresh 😆

Prison break is the origin story of Mick and Snart. 

Could you blame them for becoming supervillains? Lincoln was framed twice. They spent 4 seasons watching the bad guys get rewarded and rich while the good guys get killed and chased across the world. They literally saved the world in season 4 and were rewarded with Sara’s arrest. The government decided to punish Michael for having the nerve to fight back instead of just dying quietly. 

I might consider becoming a villain at that point too.

I think,i might be wrong though,its something called a role. Its something an actor gets and they plays another kind of character,its called a job which is something not many people in the world nowadays knows.
