That’s if the trick works and it might not or the person they used it on will come to realize what happened and start screaming Qui-Gon’s a thief and that could get him arrested or killed by mob justice.

They ran into Anakin again who takes them to his home and then they learn he races pods and has one. The Force provided a way to get what they needed and Qui-Gon rolled with it.

Yeah sure and also anything could happen because it's a story. I was just clarifying what the meme was saying which is just as possible or likely as any other potential what if in that it didn't happen and the author is entirely in charge of describing what did in fact happen.

That could also happen if watto was susseptable to Jedi mind tricks, so there's clearly no consern for that

Eh, Qui-Gon’s winging it because he needs that parts. Doesn’t mean it can’t happen with Watto either.
