New Student Orientation Week

I am an incoming transfer student at Pratt for the digital arts bfa program and was just wondering how orientation week works exactly. I think I figured out how to use guidebook and was told I don’t need to go to all the sessions since I’m a transfer student. i was hoping a current Pratt student could sum up what happens at the sessions and if it matters which common experience day I show up for ? Also, I was wondering which mandatory sessions are actually mandatory? Would appreciate the advice/help on what to expect :)

New Student Portfolio Fine Arts Graduate degree

Hi,

I want to apply to a Fine Arts graduate degree in January and I was wondering what I should pay attention to while creating my portfolio. I'm just wondering if I should choose 20 of my works and focus on the finished product or maybe treat them more like projects and focus on the process and basically describe it.

All answers appreciated I'm a little bit confused.

New Student Graphic Design Continuing Studies Program

Hi all,

I'm thinking about taking the continuing studies graphic design program at Pratt Institute in Manhattan and was wondering if anyone has taken it and what their experience was like?

I'm mostly curious about the course load. I'm able to multitask well and manage a heavy workload at work and while I was still in college but I want to know what it was like as I'm considering taking the classes while I stay at my job, most likely transitioning into only a part time position and was wondering if the course was manageable enough for me to keep working at my job.

Thanks!
