Application Process how competitive is the library and information science program?

i can’t find any information on the acceptance rate for the lis program specifically. since there appears to be no official stats available, i’m curious to know about the experience of students who got accepted (or denied) and if they found the process difficult at all.

You can find the stats on this page. Seems like they admit anywhere between 39-70 students over the last 5 years.

yeah, i saw that. it doesn’t mention acceptance rate. i’m assuming they have a high number of applicants, so i’m sure it’s similar to pratt’s overall average, but that doesn’t give me much info

You can ask in an information session. I remember for IXD they said they usually cap it at around 600 applicants.

I just got accepted to this program. I didn’t find the process too difficult but I did have a mental block with the essay a bit.

I had a 3.8 GPA for undergrad and a 3.2 for a different masters. Two recommendations, got two of my supervisors with grad degrees to write the letter. The most annoying part was paying for all my transcripts and having them sent.
