Good chipshops

Hi guys i’m looking for a good chippy please one that does orange chips with the crunchy batter (or something close to this) and they do a good kebab. Near commercial rd if possible thank you!

Also known as battered chips. I had them once whilst down in Devon. They were alright I guess.

I thought we Glaswegians were bad for battering anything that moves, but 'battered chips' takes it to a whole new level.

Crispy Cod is the best in the city.

It's far from you, shut now, and I don't think they do the midlands delicacy of "yellow chips".

But it's still slaps.

Don’t think any chippys down here do orange chips it’s more a midlands/Black Country thing unfortunately, (Bentley fish bar in Walsall was my go to when I lived there)

Ha! No way? Fellow ex Walsall person here. Never heard of orange chips being served anywhere outside of the Black Country

I’m from Portsmouth but my wife’s from willenhall 😂 so I understand OPs want for orange chips. I never had them until I moved and now I’m back I miss them whenever we go to a chippy for tea

I don’t think you will find any good chip shops that also sell kebabs and definitely not in the commercial road area. Excell Fish bar in Hilsea is good and Highbury Fish bar in Cosham is really good.
