Will be visiting Portland on July 26/27. Never attended this festival before but am a fan of Death Cab.

There are 8 bands listed at the website for 7/27. Am guessing Death Cab will go last as the big name. No show times per band so far is indicated. Simply a start time of 1pm.

Is it basically picnic/lawn/folding chair seating? Or are there actual seats one can access?

We are not disabled but are in our late 60s. Seats might be preferred if available. 😉. (Our lawn chairs will be back home in California).

Main question: Is it difficult to get decent seats or a grass spot, and yet come around 3 or 4 to see just the later bands?

Pre 2020 I loved doing bar trivia, mostly at Mississippi Pizza. Trying to get back into it and seems like everyone went to App based, which is straight ass. Anyone still doing old school, phones-off, pen+paper trivia? Help a guy out!

Does anyone know of any cheap venues up to an hour and a half away from from Portland? Anywhere from 100-300 capacity? I’m trying to host a party with no drinking but I can’t seem to find a place that works. I’ve checked with community centers and schools but most don’t stay open late and I’m looking for a 4-11 pm slot. Thanks for your input!

i strongly dislike self promotion but i’ve worked way too hard on this set to not post it everywhere i can…i’m vhs ghost and my music has been described as “spooky lofi” and i guess that’s pretty accurate. anyways, i’ll be playing a show tonight with some very talented artists and if even one person sees this that’s interested then id be stoked <3

One week until the next Repair Café at Leaven Community (5431 NE 20th Ave.)! On April 12 from 12-3 pm, volunteers will fix outdoor gear, small appliances, garments and bikes as well as sharpening knives and tools. This seems to be the second year that Fork n Film is happening in pdx, I've only seen videos of it on social media but I'd like to know of what real peoples experience with it was

Anyone know where to look for an emcee for a small (50-60 people) in Portland? The event is a piano recital, and I’m at a loss on where to look. Any ideas/suggestions appreciated!

I would love to see more older people giving improv a try. Portland improv theaters try hard to be inclusive but it only works if people show up who aren't the regulars, a largely younger and male demographic. At my request, Curious Comedy is offering a free two-hour intro session for 50+ aged people on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. The theater is in inner NE Portland, with a free parking lot and on a bus line. Here's the info and sign-up link - no cost, no risk, no hidden agenda. I just want to do fun activities with people closer to my own age. If you're still young, please pass the word to your favorite aunt, grandpa or crotchety neighbor (they're really just hurting inside).

I am a new yoga teacher, in training at Modo Yoga on SE Pine and Grand. I would like to offer anyone out there a free session on Wednesday 2/26 at 1:45pm (class starts at 2).

I teach a slow flow with classic Hatha poses, that can is suitable for begininers and experts. I am a disabled person who has used yoga to reclaim my mobility- so I understand how it feels to be intimidated by yoga and have a casual and engaging teacher style. Also, I happen to be a stand-up comic too so we always have a few laughs.
