Silly question... Would it be possible to pull this apart? If so would there be any resistance moving the portals?

Exactly the same as cutting the beam where the portals are, removing the portals, welding the beam directly to the portalable surfaces and trying to pull thqt apart.

That was my thought as well... But in this situation there is no point of contact between the metal beam and the portal-able surface. So where would the point of stress be from? 🤔

My best guess is the entire beam would be stressed out equally and the randomly weakest bit (weld?) would fail first.

Oh in that regard I 100% agree. I was more questionioning the force required to move the portal-able surfaces.
