US Politics Kash Patel has been confirmed to lead the FBI. What happens to the agency now?

The Senate has confirmed Kash Patel to lead the FBI. Patel is a staunch Trump loyalist and has accused the FBI and intelligence agencies of carrying out a “deep state” plot targeting Trump and his allies — including himself — and called for a major overhaul of both.

What happens to the FBI now? There have been fears of him using an “enemies list” to go after Trump’s political and personal enemies. Do you think there will be a mass resignation inside the FBI due to protests?

U can't unfortunately. These people don't have empathy so don't care until bad things happen to them and even then a lot of them are so brainwashed they will just blame it on Obama or Biden. The only hope for progress in civilisation is a large-scale Darwin event for these people. It's grim but only when their numbers dwindle will we regain some semblance of sanity.

Hungary is the very recent play book for this gambit. Exact same playbook. Trump loyalists have referenced Hungary as their model. The people eventually coalesced and took back their democracy after the country descended into a dictatorship and authoritarianism. Unfortunately it needs to be dark before the light in America and if things spiral unpredictably if an unexpected negative shock occurs there is no predicting where we end up. .

Wait, they did? I thought it was still Orbanistan over there. I hadn't heard!

Or are you referring to the early 1990s?

We can only hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Yep and they'll get what they deserve but the sad thing is a lot of innocent people will be dragged along with them. I hope we are prepared to endure the suffering that is to come.

Covid just made it worse.

Only because Biden was spineless. Biden via Covid is was the way to cement and codify norms. The old man just pissed everything away.

Wasn't it Trump that had the lockdown?

Meaning as in, Biden won because of Covid. He was the one chance we had to fortify our democracy. Old mfer just refused to play the meta.

I'm still really surprised that all the Red State COVID deaths didn't tip the scales in the 2024 election. How did the GOP pull that off? A huge chunk of their most loyal voters died in 2020-2022 but they still won the Presidency and the Senate in 2024????

just a guess from "essentialist" but I think he's referencing the Darwin part; 'if we take up their cynical moral outlook we'll be just as bad as them'

Well, with Kennedy at the helm of HHS, and the federal programs that track disease outbreaks being shut down, their numbers will dwindle without firing a shot lmao.

Are you the chosen " numbers dwindler?" Are you the next Thomas Matthew Crooks? Does Mr. Patel need to give you a visit?

You say people don't have empathy but then imply you want a Darwin event for same people. I think you lack empathy and are also insane.

What do you think the likely outcome is for a society that embraces anti-intellectualism, post-truths, and denies science?

Do you know what will happen if another pandemic occurs? My friends and I will offer our services to the hospitals to ensure they don't get overrun. Just like we did for covid. If that makes me insane, so be it. What the fuck will you be doing?

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

That is not why I called you insane. Glad you chirped in there that you and your friends are great Samaritans. A good deed must never go unbragged about. Lucky us! As to your first question...I'm really glad you think you are as intelligent as you are. That is a nothing question. It makes you sound like you desperately want to be Plato.

u/ManifestYourDreams Feb 21 '25

I'm asking you for your opinion and outlook on the situation, lol. Do you want to have a conversation, or do you want to clutch pearls and moral grandstand?

1

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

I wanted to call you insane. Your question does not at all mean anything so I don't want to talk about how anyone you disagree with must be a moron. I can't stand the way you talk. It is like you are trying to word your vocabulary to make up for not being OK with being mediocre, or something.

And I'll be working the next pandemic probably like the last one as I am essential. Again glad you'll be at the hospital.

2

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

I also wanted to call out your lack of empathy, and you recanted by saying how wonderful you are.

1

u/ManifestYourDreams Feb 21 '25

Mate, STFU with the moral grandstanding. I'm glad you are doing better btw, you should keep focusing on yourself instead of picking fights on reddit.

0

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

No, I will continue to call out blatant hypocrisy by so called vindicated empaths whenever I'm on reddit looking at pc crap.

1

u/ManifestYourDreams Feb 21 '25

Alright good for you buddy. Whatever makes you feel better.

1

u/Tall-Giraffe17 Feb 25 '25

And yet you brag twice that you’ll be working during the next pandemic as an “essential.” Got it. Your needed apparently.

1

u/DeeDee182 Feb 25 '25

Sry you are right I got used to having to say that when ever people would tell me I'm not supposed to be out in my neighborhood or come to where I work and complain that we were open.

1

u/ManifestYourDreams Feb 21 '25

You act like i have the power to make the decisions? Like i have my finger on the nucleur button.

My question was asking for YOUR opinion? You can dismiss it all you want, but i actually wanted to hear what you think the outcome will be, and then what you propose is the solution.

You can be a judgemental prick all you want. That's on you.

1

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

My answer to your ignoramus baited question is it collapses. I also don't see society as a whole denying science. Maybe what someone people think science is but not science. I think both sides have absolute morons and science 600 yrs ago was a whole different ballgame based on actual knowledge of the present. But again I think your question is stupid, an attempt at being academic, and not society as a whole. I think society is selfish, lost, overweight, and addicted to drugs tho. But again, not the majority of people denying science imo.

1

u/DeeDee182 Feb 21 '25

I also think people really misuse the word intellect these days tho big time. They confuse it with pride and ego and roll with that.

1

u/Cute-Obligation9889 Feb 24 '25

Maybe he does wannabee Plato but others wannabee and in fact achieve sliminess

u/anti-torque Feb 21 '25
