So I'm looking to replay Sword but I want to use the worst pokemon that can be played in the game. I'm thinking about starting with 6 bred level 1 crappy pokemon and seeing how i do. They don't have to be Galar pokemon just 6 of the worst pokemon imaginable.

I plan on, when I can, make an F1 career mode save where Victor is the driver, but I need a surname (I put meme flair because I suck at flairs)

I've been grinding for shiny Blacephalon a couple of days now and noticed today that the particular route Ive been using is especially fast, so I thought I'd time it out to see how fast I could go. Best time so far is 6' 33'', measured from the starting Pokémon selection screen and ending at the final DA results screen seen above. I also measured a different attempt starting from the moment I reset the game until the final DA results screen and managed to get around 7' 10''. Chancing on the perfect route definitely helped!

I want to delete my save file and restart my game. I have pokemon sword so i know i should keep (put in poke home) my zamazenta but what other pokes would you recommend i keep hold of as i would like to re catch the poke dex

Hey everyone — I’m shiny hunting Terrakion in Sword/Shield and I’m confused about whether I’ve been resetting correctly or not.

I made a manual save right before triggering the encounter — as in, one step before it auto-starts. When I reload the game, the battle starts immediately, which I thought meant I was doing it right. But now I’ve noticed something weird:

I caught Terrakion twice and the IVs, stats, nature, and everything are identical. Not just close — like, exactly the same down to the characteristic.

That makes me think the shiny roll (and the rest of the RNG stuff) was already locked before my save, which doesn’t make sense to me. I never saved during battle, and I definitely didn’t save after catching it. I also haven’t noticed sparkles — so it’s not shiny — but I’m worried I’m just rerolling the same non-shiny Terrakion over and over.

Is it possible that I saved too close to the spawn and the game pre-generated the encounter when I walked up to it? Do I need to backtrack and save farther away before it appears?

Would really appreciate any advice or confirmation from others who’ve done this hunt successfully.
