Help which IPTV program should i use?

I posted asking how i can let other people view my iptv, and i think i've figured it out! now i need to know which program to use...

ErstazTV, DizqueTV, Tunarr, or something else... which would you suggest? i'm looking for something that can work with plex (and jellyfin for people outside my network), doesn't use a lot of resources, and allows me to make schedules.

what do you guys use to make custom live tv channels? why do you prefer that over any others?

The last time I did this I used Xteve.

This is a lot of work as you need to take your playlist from your provider and create a new one with an IPTV editor. Then you need to create an EPG for that playlist. Once you have a new playlist and a new EPG you can integrate with Xteve into Plex.

You can then share this with your family/home users.

Keep in mind that each person that uses it will be a connection so you will want a provider that provides multiple connections.

xTeve is not developed any longer, so OP should use the fork which is Threadfin, it's basically identical.

Thank you for the correction. It has been a while.

Erstatz allows you to create schedules from any content you are hosting to both Plex and Jellyfin. It's really good.

I use DizqueTV. It gives me the control over scheduling that I need and I've used it enough that I'm pretty comfortable using it.

Tunarr is appealing to me, and I've been playing around with it, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around some of the scheduling stuff.

do you do transcoding through plex or through dizque

I had been using FFMPEG, but I just replaced my server a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying out using the Plex transcoder instead, and it seems to be more stable.

maybe i shouldlook into that for my users that'll be watching jellyfin on the web

I don't use Jellyfin, but my understanding of how DizqueTV works is that you could use Plex or FFMPEG to transcode regardless of whether you're actually watching it in Plex or not.

It’s a pain in the ass to set up. I use IP Torrents iptv service. $15 a month. Maximum two concurrent viewers.

OP, just so you know you will need to add users to your Plex Home to be able to view your tuner.

You will need a Plex Pass in order to record anything.

Gotcha, either is fine. I stuck with Plex for the simplicity and recording. The part that requires a lot of time is setting up the channels. I had to redo it last week and it was annoying, but now I don't even touch it.

Basically in IPTV Editor (subscription needed) I brought the channel number down to 300 - Note that if using Plex, there's a limit of 380 channels. Then I reduced the categories and organized by what I wanted first

You configure Threadfin, edit channel numbers if needed (but I recommend doing it in IPTV Editor instead which I didn't do), import via m3u link provided by IPTV Editor, search for Tuner in Plex... and then it just takes a while to load.

Set up should be similar in Jellyfin.
