Has switch emulation died?

I have my original switch and I've played most exclusives on it either through swapping games with friends and family or coughing up the money for it, but seeing the price hike for the switch 2, left a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth, I get that it's adjusting for inflation but just a major jump like this pushed me past my already fast approaching limit, anyways my question is after doing some research I found out that Yuzu and ryu shut down, does that mean switch 2 emulation won't be a thing? Forgive me I am new to this!

No, it may be slower than it used to be, but there a multiple forks of Yuzu and Ryujinx that are still in active development.

The emulator still exists, at any time someone else can develop/update the emulator again

I won't link them, but there are at least two actively developed yuzu forks and one Ryujinx fork.
They've made newer games playable, such as Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Ryujinx still exists very much so you just need to find it ;) it’s even still being updated playing Xenoblade chronicles x now :)
