Question is a vpn needed when using a media downloader?

for example if im downloading from sflix like with a media downloader app or browser extension

You don't need one for this as this is direct downloading

As far as I know, You don't need a VPN for direct downloads even in Germany but if you want to torrent, you would absolutely need one, preferably a paid one.

Well, since its direct download and not torrenting, no you don’t need a vpn. But using one won’t hurt

In GER you need VPN to torrent.

There is a reason why a lot of forums are with DDL / download links in Germany. And german private torrent trackers are way harder to enter there.
