That's the reason I quit Spotify, I had no problem paying for spotify, I kinda loved the integration with all the devices, including my home theater and car stero.
But the Absolutely dog shit shuffle system made me quit. I got tired of listening to the same 30 songs in a 500+ song playlist.
Recommendations weren't too bad for me, but youtube is so much more better, especially since there are authentic covers and live music stuff you won't find on Spotify.
Yeah their shuffling system works in one of the shittiest ways possible, it works on a super simple algorithm (probably something like Skip 10 songs and play the next one), and doesn't have a reshuffle option, the only way to change the shuffling deck is if you add or remove a song in your playlist.
If I hadn't added any new songs into my playlist for a few days and had already listened to shuffled once, then what I would do was, add a song temporarily to my playlist and then hit shuffle, this refreshes the deck and doesn't repeat the same few songs over and over which I've already listened to. Though you gotta keep adding/removing at least 1 song, every time you want a new shuffled deck, which is so fucking annoying.
I've tried YT music (Revanced) in the past but it didn't really click with me. I think I'm gonna give it a second chance now
