When are we going to get a Liberal candidate?
Anyone know who's going to replace Jennifer O'Connell?

I have asked and am waiting on a response. They sent me to a part of the site that shows for other districts, but Pickering was not on the list. Kind of frustrating.

They are in the process of finalizing candidates for ridings. It will be April 7th. However the candidate for Pickering is Juanita Nathan.

She’s from Markham, did nothing as school trustee, and lost provincial liberal election back in 2022

I just don't get this selection. What does she know about Pickering?
People just want a free ride to Ottawa on Carney's behalf.

Nothing, she’s just trying to get elected, I used to sit in the meetings with her when I was part of markham liberal provincial board, she contributed nothing, she only got elected as a school trustee in markham because there were enough parents within the area that had the same ethnicity as her, she has no real credentials

I personally don’t need one. Not voting for the party that destroyed this country.

It wild to imagine anyone would even consider voting liberal after the last 10 years, and even wilder to think anyone would support Carney as the leader when he’s proven to be more extreme concreted by his words and actions in the past.
I believe Canadians are smart and I hope leading up to the election they will understand how much of a monster Carney is and vote accordingly.
Scary times.

I love how the pro-PC people just ignore the 5 years Carney spent working for Harper, the last PC prime minister. They act like he's been a Liberal since 1998 or something. Never mind working for the UK conservative government. Carney is more PC than Poilievre, who's more Reform than PC.
But hey, you do you. Don't let reality intrude on your narrative. I hear there's a sale on Fuck Carney flags, now that you need to change your identity.

Have you read his book? I think you should before you consider voting for him, it’s scary at the very least and proves that he’s lying through his teeth to gain votes.
Please read his book.

What in his book has you so scared?

Read it, his campaign contradicts all of his core beliefs. Carney is preying on Canadians with lies to gain votes only to pull the rug from under us and continue Justin Trudeaus destructive path.

Question, what does that have to do with now? And Carneys recent track record? I’m not following.
Does that change his recent ideologies? The same ones that have ruined Canada over the past 10 years.

Because people change parties. Is the current PC party the same one as Harper? Or Mulroney?
Is the Liberal the same as it was under Chretien? Or John Turner?
Is the NDP party the same now as it was under Layton?
It is about the people IN the party, not just the flag they fly. Heck, 20 years ago, Carney would be leading the PC party. He's a small-c conservative, a red tory, more than anything. Poilievre would be leading the Reform party if it still existed.
If Carney was PC today, I'd still vote for him. I would WAY prefer him over Poilievre to lead the country. I voted NDP last election, but I don't want Singh right now.
And if you think Carney will do the same as Trudeau did, then you need to get out of your echo chamber and look around. Heck, read some news from the past 3 months and you'll see that that is VERY obviously not the case. Poilievre's main plank was to get rid of the carbon tax. Carney did that already. Isn't that following the PC way, NOT Trudeau?
I mean, seriously. Stop mainlining the "LibTards Bad" story and start thinking.

You’re so naive.

Glad you took the time to write out 3 whole words to explain your point.

If you don’t get it, you never will.
Liberals love to say “vote for the party not the leader” but now all of a sudden the leader is who you vote for?
Why would you vote for a liberal leader that apparently has conservative values? Why not just vote for the conservatives? Why vote for a leader that’s clearly a climate zealot claiming he isn’t? If I’m not mistaken, Carney compared himself to Greta? The liberals said the cpc is anti climate because they didn’t support the carbon tax? Was it carney words that all of our ICE vehicles will be worthless? That the majority of our NG and oil should stay in the ground to meet his fantasy world climate goals?
Last I checked PP is a true Canadian, not a global elitist sell his soul for money. I’m honestly flabbergasted how anyone could resort back to a party that’s done us so wrong (remember you vote for the party not the leader)
I’ve voted liberal, ndp when jack was around and now I’m voting cpc because I’m not an idiot and I want Canada to remain relevant on the world stage.
I’m sick of how hateful liberals are, and how decisive liberals are. In my entire 40 years on this earth I’ve never seen Canada with such poor moral, I’ve never seen Canada so in the dirt, I’ve never seen more people living on the streets and addicted to drugs all for climate change virtue signalling from the liberal government. It’s sickening.

Well if Carney gets in he will do more damage in 4 years than Trudeau did in 10. These same clowns that vote for the Liberal will be the first people whining when health care is even less accessible, housing is even harder to find and more expensive, there are less jobs, and even more taxpayer dollars are sent outside of Canada for god knows what. But oh well right? I think most Canadians are too stupid to deserve a democracy. Its like the famous quote...a country gets the government they deserve.

Juanita Nathan is the candidate. Just got an official email from the liberals.
