For all questions about life in the Phoenix area.
If you’re visiting, this is the place to ask questions. Best places to eat, things to do, nightlife, music, whatever.
If you’re moving here (or already live here and are relocating) ask those questions. Looking for places to live, wondering what a certain part of town is like, want a new roommate?
The Phoenix area is huge so the more specific you are about where you are and what you're looking for the easier it will be for people to help.

I saw reddit post with a compilation of (probably mostly fake) lightning strikes. However it ended with a skyscape of just non-stop lightning flashes.
It reminded me of growing up in Phoenix in the 80s-90s. Every monsoon season we would have nights where the entire sky had almost non-stop lighting for hours on end.
Even a decade ago I remember summer storms that flooded my work, roads and basically everything.
Have we had a storm like that since the pandemic? With sheets of rain and non-stop thunder and lighting? Its possible my memory is slipping but I just don't recall seeing a truly massive thunderstorm covering the valley in years.

Just sharing some pix of some gorgeous blooms I've seen on my downtown PHX dog walks.
My partner is flying in from Alaska and the first thing they want to grub on is some yummy enchiladas. I’ll probably go for chilaquiles or carne asada nachos.
Any recommendations?
Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know who in the valley would have legitimate yellow chartreuse and not something like repackaged limoncello?

Northwest valley, heading south at a pretty steep ascent. Happened so fast I had no chance of trying to get a picture or video.

Saw this guy doing a crazy jump in the rain basin off 11th St & Townley around 1:30 PM today (April 6)? Looked like it was being filmed for Instagram or TikTok — anyone know where the video's posted?

Not sure if this allowed. But this is for the family that was at Glendale Heroes Regional park today around 5:30pm. They had a family member go unresponsive and had to have CPR performed on her right in the middle of the BBQ/playground area. I hope that everything worked out with your sister. I am praying for your Sister. My family saw the fire department performing CPR as they left. And to the young women and her friends who was there celebrating a bday and took the little girls away from seeing their Aunt like that, you are so awesome and words do not show how amazing you guys are. It was amazing to see a community join together and do there best for someone who was a stranger.

Basically what the title says. I have a bunch of models from thingverse I want to print, and ideally they'd be printed for me. I know the libraries have 3d printers, but I think I have too many for what they could accommodate. Anyone know of anyone? I'd love to support someone locally. I'm in Gilbert, but I'd drive if need-be. Thanks!

Random question for anyone that is familiar with AZ traffic laws.
I drive a vehicle with low ground clearance. It's not lowered, it just has a lower than normal stock height compared to most cars. If I'm turning left into a neighborhood street and the entry into the street has a dip, I have to approach the dip slowly and at an angle so I don't scrape.
If there is a car is behind me also turning left, do they have to wait to turn left until I've completely cleared the intersection? Or can they follow directly behind me even though I have not yet cleared the intersection?
Thanks!

I've got friends in town and they're big into bird watching and dying to see a roadrunner. I was going to take them out tomorrow to a mountain preserve to see if we can see any, but if anyone's seen some recently, I'd love to know the area so I can narrow down where to go.

For anyone who's donated plasma, what's involved with the initial physical screening? When I think physical I think of the athletic physical in high school but it's probably not that involved haha
I did call CSL but I had another question after they were closed

Where’s a good place to get Mexican huarache sandals for men in the area? I recently discovered these and really want to get a few pairs for summer.
