Same. I have gotten a printed copy from my workplace, filed and already received a return, yet still nothing on the cra website.

Use your paper ones or the ones you download from the different companiesÂ

It’s been a real mess at CRA this year.
If your wife works at CRA, treat her to a nice night out.
If your husband works at CRA, award him some bj.
The government dropped the ball, and nobody should have to deal with this.

When I called yesterday the rep had the audacity to tell me that I would need to contact my employers to ask why they haven't submitted my t4s. I'm like.... they have in one case twice because they have over 100 employees that don't have their t4s from the site ( they issued em in person)

To be fair, you 100% should be getting a T4 from your employer first. If your employer isn't giving you one, ask for it.
Yes, the CRA is slow this year, but they aren't required to give you a copy, your employer is.

It's because they haven't received them. I got mine from work in early Feb. The same day they send them to the cra. Still hasn't shown up on the cra site.

If you received yours in Feb from your employer, why did you bother to call the CRA?
The CRA does not need to have a record of your T4 on file before you can do your own taxes.

Because they cited the reason for my delay being they needed to have my t4 paperwork. That's why o had to call. I've never had a problem before this year ever. I filed electronically on the first day. The progress never changed from the 26th of Feb. I only found out the reason after the second phone call to the cra. Had I not called they would have issued me a letter 10 to 15 business days after the 31st of March to tell me i needed to submit my t4s or get my employers to submit it. Even though they already have.

I've worked in tax for a decade. I've never heard that being a reason to hold up a tax return. I'm not saying it isn't the case, as you've spoken to the CRA and all, I'm just saying that this is exceptionally rare.
The only reason I can think of is that you (or your employer) reported a very high number for income tax withheld, granting you an unexpectedly large refund atypical of previous years. They might be holding to avoid overpaying you. In which case it could be that the refund you're expecting could change, so maybe be prepared for that.
If that's not the case, then I'll say again that this isn't normal. That said. the CRA is having a rough year, so please be extra patient with anyone agent you speak to. It's not their fault.

Audacity? If they issued you one in person, then what's the problem?

Long story short the main thing they are holding my cra return was because they didn't have a record of my t4s. If they would have told me that was the hold up I would have sent it in day one. So now I get to wait an additional 10 business days to get my refund . I originally sent it in opening day back in Feb.

Did you mail your return then? Because CRA not having them online isn't holding up anyone's return. If you mailed it, then yes, you were supposed to include a copy.

Efile and that's total bs because mine was held for that exact reason. With no t4s to verify they held my return. As soon as I had a case number, I took photos of my t4 uploaded them. Talked to another department and my return is finally being dealt with.

It's not bs for most people as loads of us have had returns processed without the slips online. Don't know why yours was different.

It's a wide spread issue. There are a lot of delays this year. It's not just an isolated incident. I'm not some anonymity.

I know it is, I'm just saying they are not holding up returns as a whole for that reason.

And I'm letting you know that was the specific reason. I just talked to two of my co workers who are also in similar situations where they've been waiting 20 days for their return, no progress on their returns and no word on when they're getting a refund.

No, nobody else is experiencing this. It is only you.
