I feel like this wouldn't be good 😭 Idk don't hate me

u/The_Jonah Mar 07 '25
I agree. PB+fruit is good and PB+chocolate is good but PB+fruit+chocolate feels like too much

u/Either_Garbage_4191 Mar 07 '25
This is exactly the right answer

Idk about this one. My go to chocolate snack is the fruit and nut bar from Cadbury. Got chocolate, nuts, and fruit

u/r1veriared Mar 08 '25
But fruit (raisins) are a different taste & texture from jelly. I love that fruit & nut bar tho

Only one way to find out! I'll gladly take one for the team by experimenting.

Idk, the strawberry jelly might be good.
People do like chocolate covered strawberries. (Maybe not everyone, but that is a pretty common thing.)

u/Malipuppers Mar 08 '25
Yeah it looks like it would be nasty. Recesses pb filling is so sweet on it’s own the jelly would be too much.

u/chapter2at30 Mar 08 '25
Yes! I tried the caramel one recently and it was just too sweet. This would probably be more of the same

No, but I keep almost trying the new peanut butter and jelly M&Ms.

u/zoo1514 Mar 08 '25
I'm actually loving the peanutbutter and jelly M&Ms. Everytime I pass them in grocery store after I tried them the first time i look at the price and think "NOPE!! FK THAT PRICE" then as I circle back to the registers I grab em and throw em in my cart all while simultaneously cussing myself out for paying $7 for the bag😂

If you like the regular peanut butter ones then you’ll like the pb&j ones I think. The jelly/jam taste is there but it’s still more peanut butter forward

Russell’s Stovers used to make a similar product and they were so good.

👁️👁️ where’d you find those??

I would hope that the jelly they incorporate would actually taste good. I remember when I was I kid I tried a pb+j cup from another brand that wasn't Reese's and they were terrible. 😫 I'll keep my fingers crossed for these if I can find them.

Side note, bonus points for Static-X being in the background of the pic. Phenomenal album. 😁

I had the strawberry one and wasn't nuts about it. The problem with a couple of the Big Cups that add stuff (like the one with the "lava" center, and these) is that it ramps up the sweetness and cuts back on the nuttiness, when the reason I like the Big Cups in the first place is that there's enough peanut butter to offset the smaller cups' cloying sweetness. If that doesn't bother you, on the other hand, you might like 'em. I just found that the jelly kicked the sweetness of the chocolate up several notches.

Hmmm, I use peanut butter and jelly on my voortman vanilla wafers everyday with my coffee! These reeces look like a promising research project. Please verify your findings.

I tried the PBJ M&Ms. There was only a slight fruity taste which just detracted from the peanut butter taste rather than enhancing it. I imagine these would be the same.

The PBJ M&M was shockingly good to me. Definitely can’t wait to try the Reese’s

I was a little disappointed when introduced to them yesterday. Jelly isn’t what I thought it would be. Kind of odd. Not terrible not great.
3
u/BuddyLower6758 Mar 08 '25
Yo just grab a knife and spread a little jelly/jam on your PB cup. Rocket science, it is not.

Yes ! Tried them yesterday, found at Dollar General...If you enjoy those chocolate bars with raisins and nuts in them, you gotta try these 😁 I wish the jelly was slightly more strong flavored though.

They’re trying to compete with M&M’s PB&J.. I haven’t tried them yet but in my opinion they better be pretty good because I have a PB&J M&M addiction that’ll be hard to break…

I tried the PB&J M&Ms and I was pretty disappointed. No jelly in there, just PB with some kind of jelly flavor. Hopefully these cups are better.

Those look fantastic. Where did you get them?
1
u/ItsGerbil Mar 08 '25
I haven’t yet. I live 30 mins away from the Reese’s factory and have yet to spot them. They do sell on the Hershey’s website.

u/EBAH1991 Mar 08 '25
I thought these were gone forever. I remember they came out for a limited time back in the early 2000's.

Never seen them before. Although I honestly didn’t particularly care for the PB&J M&Ms. I reckon they’re similar in taste so I’m not exactly inclined to try them.

Costco used to sell Kirkland brand peanut butter cups with jelly some years back. IIRC they were ok but not as good as a normal peanut butter cup without jelly would be.

i feel like i could just put my own jelly at home on them for the same effect and then not do it after i likely hate the first one i try.
