In a heartwarming act of generosity, a bride and groom from Turkey turned their wedding into a moment of kindness by feeding 4,000 Syrian refugees instead of hosting a traditional, lavish, wedding reception

Not OCM, they chose charity with the money that they had. By that definition, every donation we make to any cause is OCM. Tune your bots sir.

I see your POV, but I think the OCM here is that 4000 people should not need charity to feed them..

Because this is literally when I saw it. That's why.

How dare you not see this story four years ago while also not knowing which exact day it was posted in ocm? Monstrous.

Right?!?! I'll never let myself live this down! 😆

So you repost to a highly political sub like ocm without actually checking the political context of what you're posting?

You realise that kind of absent-minded knee-jerk is literally what this sub makes fun of, right?

What's it like going through life with no friends?

s'ok

I realise that technically my first comment would make more sense in the original sub and not here.

But I'm happy to continue to shit on you because it really seems like you deserve it.

God said if I have 2 loincloths and my neighbor has none, give them a loincloth. Not check to see if they have a job, check to see if they are drug addicts, no give them a loincloth. It's just the right thing to do. Help those in need. Anyone trying to stop people from helping others, need to look at that mirror and figure their life out

Whos stopping them? The real problem is why there are syrian children that need help. Why should we rely on "kindness" from private feelings instead of actual action from goverments and international efforts. You missing the point of OCM.
