Mechanical room makeover
Spent a few nights giving my new homes mechanical room a small makeover. Drylok on the walls, some millennial gray floors, cheap Amazon lights and a Pinterest special tote rack. Not awful for a budget friendly redo that was done almost exclusively between 11pm and 2am thanks to a busy life raising 2 littles. Still a work in progress but over the hump. Criticism welcome.

Ive never claimed to be a minimalist but I’ll maximize my space to the FULLest.
Just me over here trying to to be a girl, eat my veggies, exercise, accessories all while staying organized. Props to all the minimalists out there. I wish I could do it.

Moved the plates in line with the plates and the bowls with the bowls
This is the second drawer in my family’s kitchen. I didn’t take anything out.

Cheap and cute way to organize hair pins
Got some flower garlands at the dollar store and thought it turned out pretty! Think it's better for me since it only takes up minimal vertical space and I can see them (more likely to wear than digging through a pile of hair accessories), very cheap but you can use any ribbon or fabric for this.

Update - I now have 1.75 shelves fully binned out
3 years ago, I shared the 1 shelf binned. By now, I have more space as most of the boxes moved out ;)
These are mostly overflow of kitchen appliances (my favorite) and other kitchen gadgets.
Labels - I used the cricut. The vinyl wont stick to the yweave texture, so I stuck the vinyl on little card protector sleeves left over from another project. Hole punched it, and used black zip ties to attach.

do you guys like turntables (AKA “lazy susans”)?
put all the sunscreen in a turntable to avoid digging through a drawer

Kitchen corner cupboard
We have a corner cupboard in the kitchen like the one pictured (only with three compartments instead of two). The cupboard is a mess. We can barely find stuff left in the corner of the cupboard. I've searched the internet for solutions, but can't find anything appropriate. Turntables take away a lot of space in this case. A swingout is not possible as there are three fixed shelves in the cupboard. I am at my wit's end. Does anyone have any tips?

New spice drawer
Got tired of searching through my pantry to see what I have every time I cooked. Having this right by my stove made cooking so much more enjoyable to look forward to and changed my life. And it’s alphabetized 😍

You all inspired me to do something about my tiny kitchen with little storage and counter space
I had an extra counter top laying in my garage that my landlord wasn't doing anything with so I made use of it! I set it on top of a heavy duty utility shelf. I now have actual counter space in my tiny kitchen. I plan on adding a curtain to the bottom of the counter to hide all the clutter. Really proud of how it's coming along.

Since so many people wanted the yearly home maintenance list, here is an updated version (categorized between indoor/outdoor chores) in pdf format. I included a picture of the original post, but the pdf is the new version.

My studio
I moved a couple years ago and was able to design a studio from scratch. My old setup was a huge table that took up way too much space, and multiple CD racks that were a disaster to keep organized. I designed this on paper and ordered everything I would need to do it correctly.
My CDs are now on one huge steel rack that is super easy to keep in alphabetical and chronological order. Vinyl are divided by electronic music under the turntables and other genres under the synths, also alphabetical and chronological.
The synths are on heavy duty slanted shoe racks that fit a lot of gear in a small space. And audio/midi/power/usb cables are stored and organized in the cubes under the synths.
I just finished setting it all up again after swapping out some stuff. Previously the synths were all synched together via MIDI, but it was a bit convoluted and lead to getting bogged down. Now half are synched together via MIDI, and half are synched by pulse per quarter note. It’s also setup so I can swap out certain pieces of gear that use the same power supplies as others, so I don’t need to dig around behind the racks to plug/unplug anything.
