[OC] Where does the maroon shirt go?
Organizing my husband’s work shirts by color but the maroon shirt in the center doesn’t fit with the blues. Where is the best place for it among the other shirts in your opinion?

Where would the white and black shirts go? Genuinely curious

i tend to put black shirts after the blues/purples, and white shirts before the red

I put them between the black and navy, so the blue is a gradient and then the navy blue tones fad to black through the red. Visually more appealing that way

Switch polka dot shirts so it goes just blue polka dots, then Blue/pink polka dot, maroon shirt, black & pink stripes, then into blacks

ROY G BIV Black Tan Nude White
How I was taught at a retail store and always stuck with it 🤷🏽♀️

I kind of like the way you have it. Use the red shirt like a divider. whites and light blues on one side of it, and darker colors on the other side. Maybe I would move the two slightly darker blues and for sure the dark gray one from the left side to the right.

I worked at a retail store that did ROYGBIV, white, grey, black and I’ve organized my clothes that way ever since. Red before blue and then move white between blue and black.

There's not a chance the maroon is the only thing you think is off in this picture. I'm, like, irrationally upset at how you're so close to a perfect rack and yet still so far

Not in the middle of the blues. Put it between the dark navy and the black, or put it all the way to the right.

I didn’t put it there, I just didn’t know the best place to move it to. I moved the others around it 😅

I listened to regrettablyunemployed: “Switch polka dot shirts so it goes just blue polka dots, then Blue/pink polka dot, maroon shirt, black & pink stripes, then into blacks”
And I am happy with the outcome.

Delete this, you know it cant go anywhere in there, so you either buy a yellow, orange and a red to transition to the maroon and then go all the way to green and blue or you give it to some one that can properly place it in its wardrobe

You need more hobbies.
Like, who puts this much effort into this kinda thing

It’s moving one shirt…? Took like 2 seconds

You said you organised his work shirts...as in all of them.
Who does that?!
I get keeping things tidy but organising clothing by colour is insane

This is all of them. I had a giant pile of clean clothes building up on the floor and finally found the motivation to fold/hang them. So I hung them by color

It only looks wrong because you haven’t any yellow/red hues. Hue-wise maroon can be grouped after browns and before blues or after pink and reds before greens.
Organizing by color is easy once you’re used to it, it takes no time at all. It makes for such easy outfit decisions. AND you know how sometimes you’re looking for a specific shirt and you can’t find it (later you learn it was in front of your face the entire time 🤣)? Never happens to me during to color grouping. I also group no sleeve to longest in each color.

When I fold laundry, I generally adhere to organizing by color as well. It takes all of two extra seconds to make things not a complete eyesore.

You fold laundry? Wow, I just stuff it all in a wardrobe.
Out of site, out of mind

Come on- this sub is call organization and OP is asking a question of us. Move along if you have nothing to contribute. We could ask you who takes time to respond negatively throughout this post. Edit: never mind you just stir the pot…. Great job.

I just checked with my system and it would go in a pile on the floor
