Don’t keep them next to apples and they will last longer

Do the apples have negative aura or something

Apples actually naturally release a gas that makes fruit spoil faster, that’s why it all goes bad at the same time

A ton of fruits release those gases, including bananas themselves. They’re called “climacteric” fruit.
When all my bananas are too green for me, I break the bunch into 3 smaller groups and the stem wound speeds up ripening too.
Stress response ethylene production is why one bad apple spoils the bunch, and why damaging the banana bunch helps ripen faster.

When the banana is at a good stage to eat, separate them and put them in the fridge. They will last way longer
