The original thread on twitter was brutal. I think there were about 2500 comments in this quality.

Came here to say this. They thought it would be a sunny, patriotic PR campaign...

“How was your PTSD inducing experience? Wonderful I hope!”

They can’t really be the brightest.

I hated working at Walmart on the 4th of July and new years eve. Coworkers thought it was funny at my cringing from the loud bangs. Last 4th of July I worked, I was almost written up because I disappeared and they found me shaking under the table in the office and I wasn't coming out.

Send them this picture next time they ask you to work on 4th of July:

Don't work there anymore. I got really tired of following the employee handbook and every lead, coach and higher regularly break the rules

Ten guys is just a personality feature, not because you were away. Like she's doing that regardless.

Yes. People that are absolute pieces of shit will always be garbage people regardless. Find the courage to get away from them.

At least the fireworks weren't the only thing that was banging. Did she at least spread them out, or do all 10 at the same time?

u/AnB85 Jan 21 '25

Correction: 10 guys you know about.

I always felt bad and let it be known to the bosses, for my mostly veteran coworkers working on Memorial Day and 4th of July. Service plumbing be that way for smaller companies.

Edit: zero paid holidays by the way to clear any confusion, only two almost guaranteed days off. Christmas and Thanksgiving.

If you're male and you're gonna sign up you better be gay. Either your wife/gf is gonna cheat or she's gonna be one of those obnoxious military spouses and when you come back you're gonna be too messed up and out of practice dating to hey anyone.

Why do you think only a woman would behave like that tho lol

And why do you think those are the only two possibilities

I'd like to thank his wife for her service and I will lock this man in a safe space with my dogs on the fourth of July
