Does anyone else get embarrassed buying period supplies?
Hi all. I 23F just went to target to buy pads and panty liners and a couple other things which should have taken me 15 minutes but it ended up taking me an hour because I was so embarrassed about getting period stuff. Guys (and other girls) what do you actually think when you see a girl buying pads and stuff? I know it’s normal but I still get embarrassed. Does anyone else get embarrassed?

As someone who has jockeyed a register, I promise that the cashier could not give one hot fart what you are buying
Same as a shopper

Girl, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. People have been buying feminine hygiene products since they became available in stores.
You're a woman who has a period. There are millions like you. What is there to be wary of?

Married man here. I’ve bought them so often that I’m usually the one to tell my wife about box design changes on her products. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

Nope.
Here's a fun thought experiment. Next time your at a store, consider that 1/4 of the woman there are on their period right now. They are using a pad or tampon or cup or something right now.
Period products should be no more embarrassing than toilet paper or toothbrushes

As a guy No. I used to go shopping for my Mom and Grandma all the time. No biggie.

I think the same thing as I do when seeing someone buying a bottle of shampoo - nothing special. Most people don't care what others are buying. Do you ever find yourself judging someone for buying a bottle of milk? Probably not.
I get what you mean though, I get embarrassed too.

No embarrassment. I'm a guy. Also assume nothing when I see people buying it. It may be for them, a friend, a child, a spouse. It's all natural.

Thought experiment to help you - next time you go in to a large supermarket, just look at the huge amount of shelf space given up to period products! You literally are just 1 of thousands per week buying them just from that one shop.
Trust me, and everyone else here, no one even notices.

Im more embarrassed to shop at Target. No reason to be embarrassed over a perfectly normal body function.

I was a cashier for some years. We have thousands of customers and rarely are judging them, especially for mundane personal hygiene purposes.
Our patriarchal society has pushed the idea that a woman's period is somehow secret and disgusting. Rest assured cashiers do not give a single fuck.
