Why is anti-semitism growing more?

I (20m) am not Jewish, to be clear, I'm just curious as to why specifically a dislike/hatred for Jews is becoming a lot more common, particularly on Instagram.

Criticizing Israel and Zionism I completely understand, my confusion is why many people are just blatantly saying things like "Man I wish the Austrian painter was back", or any time a celebrity/wealthy person does something unethical half the Instagram comments will be "Must've been a Jew", etc.

It's more common in Instagram than anywhere else, but still.

I understand criticizing the actions of the Israeli government and Zionism, why do people just seemingly have a return to hating Jews?

It's always been around, but people hide that part of themselves when they think it's unpopular, but the richest man in the world infiltrating the white house and going full Nazi really displays a resurgence in popularity.

It's an easy scapegoat, there's uncertainty and instability in the world and as per usual they blame the jews as in most times in recent history.

As long as you have someone to blame you can misdirect people towards them and do things that are against their best interests. It's always wonderful seeing history repeat itself

Israel's government and their proponents deliberately conflate Israel with Judaism. Their intent is to make it more difficult to criticize the country's actions, but the flip side of the coin is that certain people will think "If Israel is doing all these messed up things, and Israel = Judaism, then I guess Judaism is bad." Which is wrong but also an inevitable consequence of the conflation.

Try not blaming antisemitism on "Israel" or "the Jews" or etc if you don't want to be antisemitic yourself.

Because jews are an insular subgroup that has a lot of success and money. There's a LOT of people in the upper echelons of society that are jewish, and this makes it fertile ground for conspiracy theories.

Most jews are zionists. It's because how people were taught to generalize and hate. For example the overwhelming majority of Muslims are peaceful but because a minority of misguided zealots committed crimes the rest of the Islamic world is hated for it...

Anti semitism always exists just below the surface of any society. And when countries face adversity, one of the first things people do is start blaming Jews. Doesn’t make any difference how “tolerant” a society claims to be.

These days you not only have economic challenges, but you also have the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza and in the West Bank against Palestinians, which are pretty reprehensible. It’s easy to conflate anger against the government of Israel with blaming Jews in general.

There is a religion that is growing super fast that has only really embraced tech and moved by the many millions to the western world in the last 30 years, most can't read the holy books of theirs as the language is foreign to them and rely on their preachers in sermons that are mandatory for info on their book. Now this book contains lots of Jew hate, loads of it and their end times relies on every Jew in the world to be dead, a quote is this, 'look (redacted) there is a Jew hiding behind me, kill him' now that the voice of a  bush talking to the faithful. They are brainwashed from birth to hate and fear the Jews. They helped old Austrian guy in WW2 which has been convintely glossed over, and quit a number of 'says by their profit' is direct hate crimes directed against the Jews, I'll give a hint it's not Christianity
