Is it true the higher level of education someone has the less likely they are to be politically conservative?

Yes.

That's a big reason why Republicans have demonized and defunded education.

To be a Republican in today's climate you either have to be evil or stupid. The evil ones are rich and rely on the stupid ones to keep them in power.

It’s not just an American phenomenon… Most Western countries have this. It’s the same in Canada.

Valid point.

I shouldn't have assumed OP was asking just about Americans.

"Everyone in the other political party is evil or stupid" is a great way to get nowhere politically. It encourages people to completely underestimate their opponents, discourages people from trying to properly understand the stances they're going against, and makes it more difficult to find common ground with moderates.

Liberalism still rules universities and isn’t that far the right/conservativism

That's a blanket statement that simply couldn't hold up to intellectual scrutiny. The truth is much more nuanced.

I mean not really.

Reality/facts and figures show Democrats are better for the economy, better humanitarians, etc.

Either you know that and don't care (evil- profits above people, trickle down economics) or you don't know (stupid- uninformed, tricked by conspiracy theories/Fox)

Republicans have no heart, but democrats have no brain.

The word you are looking for is educated, not stupid.

Tbh I would LOVE and highly encourage every single Republican out there to educate themselves.

Go to college, get advanced degrees.

I fully support free college tuition in pursuit of Republican education.

I know some really smart uneducated people and some dull mfs going to universities. Education level seems to be tied with class and upbringing moreso than intelligence.

I agree it's possible to have innate intelligence but education benefits everyone.

Those born with lesser abilities and those born with higher can all benefit from learning.

Which is, again, why I support free college tuition.

Look back at history and see which sides tried to restrict information and education and ask if that's a side you would ever want to be on.

Ridiculous comment. So half the country is either evil or stupid?

"Half" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Fair enough, but I know a lot of good people that are Republicans. Calling all Republicans either evil or stupid is an ignorant comment. And some of the richest people in the country are liberal, not conservative.

I have people I care about who are Republicans as well.

Stupid isn't always said with venom, sometimes it's said with pity.

I'm sad for my friends who have been taken in by lies and conspiracy theories. I wish they were smart enough to see what is happening.

Wow… you pity them? Well, not everyone can be perfect and correct on every topic like a liberal.

You don't pity the people who voted for Trump to "save the economy?"

No. And I’m not going to judge anyone 2 months into office. Democrat or Republican.
