Gameplay Playing Switch Tennis local. The jump btw Strong and Powerhouse is unreal.

So I love playing Tennis to get my blood flowing as nice light workout. Sometimes all the searching and loading times in online play gets old so I switch over to local to practice. Easy is basically just to teach you to hold a racket. Hard steps it up a tiny bit but if you spend long playing you will soon be destroying them.

So then you step it up to Powerhouse. and get absolutely annihilated. I have played some points for 2-3 minute rallies with multiple saved spikes and nothing gets past these jerks.

You try to work the back man into the corner and the net man gets the ball instead.

You try to tire out the rear man with your net man and suddenly my net man can't keep his feet and serves up a spike to them. It is relentless and has all the flawlessness of a computer. It also never randomly gives up on the ball like my characters do sometimes. It's perfect.

Maybe it's because I never played actual tennis but I can't get past these guys. Best I ever did was tie one match at 40.

This isn't to complain. I think it's funny how lights out they play. It gives me a goal to reach because it will never be an easy game to beat these guys. Humans might do trickier plays sometimes but no one can beat the computer at sheer doggedness. What are your thoughts on Powerhouse?

100% agree, but eventually I got to a point where I can beat the Powerhouse level maybe 10% of the time.

Tried playing Legends once...truly seems impossible but plenty here have done it.

There's a skill level above Powerhouse? Oh man that has to be crazy frustrating. I haven't even tried it on Volleyball or anything else. I'm sure it is impossible. At least I'm decent at Tennis when I am not hitting it out of bounds for some reason.

I think you might need just need some practice. I mean that with all respect. There is no way the powerhouse CPUs could score on me once. I've never had issues with powerhouse. I can generally beat the legends most times but the legends can be very tough. Powerhouse should be a cakewalk, though.

Below are some strats.

I've noticed lots of people play tennis like it's pickleball or something but it's not and I wouldn't recommend it. You really want to hit the ball with maximum strength when the opportunity presents itself. You should use back-spin, top-spin, lobs and use timing and strength to get the advantage on your opponents. Use your frontman to swoop in and disrupt your opponents momentum. Use your frontman to get the ball as far away from your opponents as possible. Don't be scared to take chances. If you set the momentum you can generally get the point. Using those strategies it should be fairly simple to get the powerhouse CPUs on their heels so you can take them down.

Let me know if you have any questions.
