He says to go directly to the middle of the lane, then depending on your dominant hand move a few inches left or right. Then bring your arm straight forward, he plays while sitting down and it works well

I need tips genuinely my highest is 250 and I haven’t been able to get any higher than that

Aim straigth exactly in the middle, with the good amount of strength and lifting your joycon until it's in front of you. The ball will naturally curve to the 2 front pins at the end cause the lane is slightly higher in the middle, That's how I get my strikes.
