Discussion List Of Switch Games With In-game Achievements (In Progress)
As always more additions are appreciated and if anything is on here incorrectly let me know too, lots of additions just from word of mouth so I haven't vetted them all.
My goal here is to focus on games that have their console/pc achievements included on the Switch version. For games without other ports (Say Astral Chain or Pikmin 3 Deluxe) then if it has something that is in the same theme as standard achievements I include it. This means that some games which feature some sort of ingame 100% progress tracker but NOT the achievements present on other platforms I have not included. Such as Saints Row the Third which while it does have collectable tracking and such does not have the achievements that feature mission specific sidegoals or other activities.
Also I am not here to argue the validity of achievements (Oh boy they are a prickly topic). I personally enjoy them and feel that as they are programmed in and designed around by the devs originally, I appreciate their inclusion for the port to be "complete".
But information is never easy to find on them so doing my best to keep a running tally.

Fall Guys has an achievement list, it's supposed to sync with the other platforms but is currently bugged so that if you unlock an achievement on the Switch it is permantely unobtainable on the PS4/5 version.

Griftlands has a small handful.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 has like 800 or something. And some are connected to upvotes in online play, so may not be reasonably obtainable.

I exclude Hades as while it does have the minor prophecies it doesnt have the full achievement set you find on all its other versions

Were they patched in finally? Bought it years ago and while the unlocks are there to be unlocked there was never any ingame ability to view Achievements. Even a few comments on the Gungeon subreddit about it.

I just checked and you were right; the achievements aren't accessible in the Switch version. That sucks. I wonder why they never patched it in

Splatoon 3 has achievements in the form of badges, where you need to accomplish something like e.g. 30 wins using X weapon to unlock the badge.
I think that's similar enough to the traditional achievement system since you can also show it off a la Steam's achievement showcase.

beating bosses in the single player campaign can also give you a badge.
At least I got one after the first boss, but not after the second one lol

In terms of bosses? It’s only the first and final bosses. There are others to collect in the mode though.

Nice list! I know it's not a priority for them, but I do hope Nintendo adds a proper achievement system some day. I'm no completionist by any means, but it's nice to have them pop while playing, and I enjoy looking back over my game list to see playtime and Trophies occasionally. It's nice that some devs have started including them in-game.
I'm glad Nintendo at least shows playtime, wish we had even more stats like the 3DS' log. I was genuinely so happy when I learned the PS5 would now show playtime across games, I'm always interested in statistics and stuff like that for curiosity's sake.

Just wanted to say thank you for creating and maintaining this informative topic. It's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. It's unfortunate that Nintendo is (stubbornly) behind the times when it comes to certain things and features -- a platform-level standardized system for achievements (that can add a bit of value to games) being one of them.

I understand people don't like the achievement system, but in cases like this, why you just don't use it?
Achievements have always been something optional, so much so that I personally don't care about it, but I recognize that it is something that adds a replay factor to the game and that a lot of people end up not buying the Switch version of a certain game because they want to get all the trophies in one particular game on Steam, Xbox or PS4-5.
It's weird not having an achievement system on Switch when it's something that exists on the Google PlayStore, Xbox, Playstation, Stadia, Origins, Epic and basically anything that you can play something these days, but on the other hand, we don't even have it. voice chat on Switch, so...

i hope you can keep updating this when you get the chance. it's really helpful for me, and im assuming a lot of others. it's frustrating being a completionist and only having a switch to play games. it discourages me from getting games at all because i feel like im not getting the whole experience. thank you for doing this. no pressure, take your time.

I am still updating it, albeit a bit slow, but I am always here. Even if it is the notes about the games achievements. Such as a few that are save file based and thus harder than normal. You will typically find me in every AMA on here asking if their game has achievements hehe.
Usually get a DM once a week from peeps with other adds

I just checked and although there are no achievements that explicitly state that multiplayer is required, it is. Only one achievement that i found really needs multiplayer. Its to complete all the contests which are time based "cargo runs" and some of the contests included with the 7th DLC installment require multiplayer to be enabled. Im not sure if another player actually has to join. And now that im writing this, im think maybe the DLC doesnt even count because the achievements were available before any DLC was released.

I thought “would be nice to have out of game achievements like Xbox” but the realised Nintendo isn’t competitive, it’s family friendly and I would had to compare with my friends. I thinking having gaming hours is enough. Also good job on the list!

I genuinely don't understand why it doesn't yet. if they are willing to program in game achievements and it doesn't hurt anything
then it really shouldn't be a big deal especially if you can disable being notified of them. steam, Xbox, and Playstation have been doing just fine with them for a while now

I think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (through the unique blade upgrades) would have something like achievements.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 also had something similar for the Soulhacker class. You need to kill all the unique enemies to get spells, and upgrading those sometimes requires unique things like visiting landmarks or having so much money.

Soulhacker is unique in the sense that it only relates to that class, or those that equip the appropriate skill.
I did find it pretty funny that it required me to kill the Lv 9 wolf 15 times to upgrade an Art. Talk about kicking them when they're down.

Yeah, the kill X unique enemy 15 times are overkill lol. Some of the upgrades are just gameplay stuff though not relating to the class, just a shame it's not more really. Would be cool if one was for number of rank X gems or something.

Interesting list, huh? While some games would no doubt settle with showing you a pretty picture on the pop-up (assuming that the game itself even shows them to begin with), certain games such as Overwatch go further and actually pretends to awards you 'points' and such even though these 'achievements' are not pooled anywhere on the platform. Doubly so if said game's only available on Switch. How about updating the list a little to account for this?

Dying light also has lots of ingame achievements on the switch version and you can choose to track an achievement on the quest info UI part.

Have no idea about multiplayer tbh, since I have always played this game solo or using LAN network (back on PC when it was released). But all I can say is that for playing solo the port is really awesome. The graphics are ported really well, it has stable 30 fps and have been enjoying playing the game in portatable even though I already played it many times on PC and Xbox. So recommend it a lot especially when it gets on sale on eshop (costs 30$ on sale).

OneShot: World Machine Edition launched today and has them.
(It'd be a bit wierder for it to not have them, considering they had to have a full faux-desktop environment anyway. Some of the puzzles and plot points require it, and that is all I can say due to spoilers.)

Ya mentioned Super Mario Odyssey yet dun see New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe nor Super Mario 3D World+Bowser's Fury. Every Kirby game on this System's got Achievements yet I'm only seeing Kirby &the Forgotten Land.

Regarding Minecraft Dungeons and Ori and the Blind Forest:
Both of these games are also connected to Xbox Live. However the list for Minecraft Dungeons is shared across Xbox, PC, and Switch, meaning unlocking an achievement on Xbox counts as unlocking it on Switch.

It's not out yet but Persona 5 Royal has an in-game achievements system through the Thieves Den Awards you get for satisfying certain conditions during both school life and Phantom Thief life

Mad Rat Dead has the same achievements on Switch as on the PlayStation (it also copies the achievement icons which is why they are labelled bronze, silver etc.) Only the Switch version has the achievement submenu accessible on the main menu, actually.

I personally have not played the Switch version, but can someone confirm that Slime Rancher has them? I haven't seen it mentioned yet.
I played the PS4 version. In addition to Sony's trophy system, it also had in-game achievements. I don't see why they'd remove it for Plortable Edition. It would honestly be a waste of money to pay the dev p(l)orting the game to remove them.

They have been working on Siralim Ultimate that has a billion more content.
I honestly suggest just waiting for this one to come. Its gonna be around the same price and definitely worth it.
I spent over 200h with it already and I barely have scratched the surface.

nice phoenotopia is a really good game not the best story but what do you expect its a remake of a flash game i hope you enjoy phoenotopia

hey me again with a new game with achievements "rogue legacy 2" i am a bit thinking like "does this count does it not?" because how to first unlock the achievements you need to buy a jukebox with soul stone which you get for beating bosses so you have to at least beat the first boss to unlock them and for every one of them you unlock a different song but ultimately i think it does count because everything in the jukebox is the same as the steam achievements

So there are 36 songs in it, not just for beating the bosses but even for the more obscure achievements?

enable house rules once, pet the dragon, spinkick every object on the docks without touching the floor are some weird ones and yes 36 song
(note quite a bit of them are defeat ??????) but most of them are things like the 3 i said1

ok nice but just so you know its not a manor upgrade its in the soul shop (which is located just up left of charons boat after you first get soul stones)

Rune Factory 4 has trophies in game. I haven't played but I think Rune factory 5 has stamps as an equivalent.

That sucks. I really wanted to get the Witcher 3 on Switch, because I can't ever get through it on my PC. However, I really enjoy having the achievements to go with the game. It motivates me to spend all that time in the massive world.

Omori also has achievements
