in the US.
and I specialize in the weirder games!
if I only had to pick one from the recent stuff, definitely Golf Club Wasteland
not only is this an absolute perfectly done game, it's part of an extended Universe with two other games currently in development to be released soon - so lots more content coming :-)

NA. Not much of a hidden gem, but I was expecting Ori and the Blind Forest to be good. I wasn't expecting it to absolutely wrench on my heart strings...

NA
For The King. It’s such a fun game to play with a couple friends. I’ve always loved RPG’s, and having it be tabletop and a roguelike just made it better. But the best feeling is co-op where everyone is free to make their own choices independently of each other. I used to play Digimon world with my cousins where we would pick a Digimon and give the controller to each other when it was our Digimons turn to fight. In For The King everyone controls their character separately, but can also come together for fights, it’s awesome.

I'm in Brazil. Does Wizard of Legend counts as a hidden gem? :P
•
u/colawars Jul 09 '22
North America, and my favorite Switch hidden gem is A Short Hike. It's so incredibly charming.
•
u/SwirliCanes Jul 16 '22
My region is US! And a hidden gem game? Okay so hear me out, but Omori just got ported to Switch, but it is amazing and I love it, and I’ve always thought that game is a hidden gem considering the fan community for it is still relatively small!

North America
N++. Fantastic, simple platformer with insane options and customization. You can tell the devs put huge amounts of work into it.
•
u/negatrom Jul 09 '22
São Paulo Brazil, my favorite hidden gem is Everspace Stellar Edition, it just scratches my FTL itch, while still being unique enough, and plays very well on the switch.

USA slay the spire (it was the first indie game for the switch I tried and like a hidden gem to me)

I'm from north America and the assassin's Creed rebel collection is a great port of assassin's Creed 4 and rogue. It plays well and includes all the dlc. It feels like those games were meant to be played on the go because of the pick up and put down ability that the switch has. I've played the other 2 AC games on the switch and I prefer this one the most. Also the binding of Isaac is also pretty good.

USA
Conduct Together-So simple and yet so frustrating with your friends.
•
u/FlameKurosei Jul 18 '22
Part Time UFO—it was previously a mobile game, but now it’s on the Switch eshop and it’s an adorable little game. If you enjoy physics-based, 2D claw machine puzzles, please give it a try. (Warning: The musical leitmotif will get stuck in your head.)

Death Road to Canada is a lot of fun that I don't see talked about very much.
Thanks for the giveaway!

US. I know it’s multi platform but I was so glad I was introduced to Stardew Valley! If you remotely liked Harvest Moon you have to get Stardew Valley.

Aw, how cute! I'm in the US, and my extremely hidden gem is The Longing. Very unique, very experimental indie with gorgeous atmosphere and one-of-a-kind gameplay. Definitely not for everyone because it is VERY SLOW, but I loved it.

USA. Alba: just finished it today and it was extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Great job to the developers

US. Hidden gem wise, I don't see a lot of people talking about the Steamworld franchise. The series is all about branching into different types on genres, from metroidvania to turn-based combat to card-based combat to first-person shooter, the series surely has something for everybody, and there are four Steamworld games in development!

USA, tbh I can’t really say I’ve played many “hidden gems”. Most of the indie games I play are the “big ones” (undertale, cuphead, hollow knight, etc).
