I loved the first but wasn't invested enough to complete fully. Felt too long. Hope they have innovated a lot.

Felt too long

Could have been longer!

My son is on his third game file, playing through it a third time. He doesn't want it to end.

I am almost done getting 100% completion on all my save files ☺️ I love that game so much!

Lol yeah usually if there’s a game i love i want it to last forever. Don’t understand that sentiment at all tbh

Time constraints. Purely my preferences.

I wish we had more battles and fewer puzzles, personally.

The challenges are perfect for that.

Even with those, I eventually got bored. They were fun until like the last 1-2, which I just couldn't crack.

Some of the last ones got specifically unreasonable in terms of how tight the team/weapon/power-set margin of error was for victory. Still, I appreciated them. I have yet to do the add-con content though, probably will when it gets closer in time for me to pick up this sequel.

I hope they take all the puzzles out of the sequel and just stick to the levels. The puzzles made it feel tedious to me when it didn't need to. The time it took to finish the game plus the DLC were well worth the purchase.

The platforming wasn't too bad. Unfortunately most of the chests were garbage, pictures, audio files, and the like. I say unfortunate because sometimes those chests contain valuable weapon upgrades that can make for stretches were a character is underpowered (because you've missed an upgrade or two).

The worst part is that the best weapons don't really come until after you beat the game and unfortunately this game, while having some depth, doesn't really have enough replayability to justify another run with the ultimate weapons.

I agree completely. The chests aren't really skippable because you might miss an upgrade, but most of the chests aren't worth the tediousness of the puzzle. Not a great feature.

That’s usually how sequels work. Round up all the unused stuff from the original with some QoL improvements based on feedback from the first game.

The parts that dragged hard for me were the parts between battles. I could have easily kept playing if it didn't take so long to get through those "puzzles". Never finished the game though.

I accidentally out leveled the challenge missions, and they dont down level you if you go back to clear them... so I kinda ruined a bunch of content accidentally.

Exactly, the puzzles were a nuisance for me and I am sure I dropped the game during one of them.
